About this experience

Dare to take our tour that will take us through little-known places in the Historic Center of CDMX, allowing us to travel back in time from pre-Hispanic times. Passing through a pharmacy where they prepared ancestral medicines, visiting the architectural grandeur of the beginning of the last century to the gastronomy of a bakery where the locals make that experience a tradition from generation to generation. Don't forget to take your photos to show off to your family and friends, places that only YOU will know in the City of Palaces or as we chilangos say: Chilangolandia, el Defectuoso, la Capirucha, etc.

Interesting stops & Great Guide

Had a delay in reaching Laura due to World Cup fan fest. She waited for us and easily navigated us around the congestion. Learned so many interesting facts about Mexico City. She was so sweet and kind to us.

Such a great tour!!

Laura gave us an exquisite look at the historic district that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. I we loved her storytelling about architecture and history - and so passionate about the city! Highly recommend!

Great insights

Laura was brilliant. It was liking walking around with an old friend. She showed us stuff we would never have seen. Wish we had done this earlier instead of our last day.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! It truly felt like walking around with friends, and I'm thrilled you enjoyed discovering some hidden gems with me. I only wish we’d had more time together! Hopefully, this means you'll come back and explore even more next time. Safe travels, and I’d love to see you again!

A must to do when visiting Mexico City!

One of the best tours I have ever booked. Laura's knowledge about Mexico City's downtown area makes the tour very entertaining and easy to follow. This tour is a great way to get to know the beautiful buildings with incredible architecture that Mexico City has. I highly recommend this tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Raque. It was my pleasure!

Curious and original Tour in the Historic Center of CDMX: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does Curious and original Tour in the Historic Center of CDMX cost?

+

Prices start at $550 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Curious and original Tour in the Historic Center of CDMX take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is Curious and original Tour in the Historic Center of CDMX worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Curious and original Tour in the Historic Center of CDMX?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Curious and original Tour in the Historic Center of CDMX suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Curious and original Tour in the Historic Center of CDMX?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Curious and original Tour in the Historic Center of CDMX start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
