Hi Chi Minh City tour and Cu Chi tunnels

Dan (and our driver the fast and the furious) provided me their undivided attention for a morning city tour of the significant sites. Dan had an exemplary knowledge for Vietnamese history. In the afternoon we picked up others and headed out of the city to see the tunnels used by the Viet Cong for many decades during times of war. Very informative! Dan’s sense of humour made it a very enjoyable day!

10/10 would recommended the Cu Chi Tunnels.

The tour was great, we were picked up on time offered water and had a little history lesson before we arrived. It’s about an hour and half drive from the city. There were 4+ tunnels we got to experience and they were all great fun. Also had the option to shoot some of the guns from the war too at your own expense. Would definitely recommend doing the tunnels tour if you are in Saigon / Ho Chi Minh.

Immersive Day Trip to Cu Chi Tunnels

The Cu Chi Tunnels were absolutely worth the visit—especially for anyone interested in war history. Exploring the underground tunnels provides eye-opening context to the Vietnam War, and for an additional cost, the on-site shooting range even allows you to try Vietnam War–era weaponry, adding an immersive (and adrenaline-filled) element to the tour. We opted for the private driver and tour guide for the day for our group with pick-up and drop-off from our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

    Interesting history

Visited with a tour guide from the city, the drive there was an hour or two, depending on traffic, we then spent about 90 minutes there. It was very interesting and my first stop on my holiday in Vietnam. Great to see inside the tunnels and walk through them, maybe not so good if you don't like small spaces! A must see on a first trip to Vietnam. I followed this by visiting the War Remnant Museum.
