9h30 or 14h00: After the 1.5 hour drive, we get to The tunnels of Củ Chi (Vietnamese: Địa đạo Củ Chi) are an immense network of connecting tunnels located in the Củ Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The Củ Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the Viet Cong's base of operations for the Tết Offensive in 1968. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters. The tunnel systems were of great importance to the Viet Cong in their resistance to American and ARVN forces, and helped to counter the growing American military presence.

We booked with Asia Pearl Travel, and were told a pick up point. when we arrived there, it turned out to be the office of Vietnam Adventure Tours. They couldn't find our booking, and when I called the number on the ticket, the guy didn't understand my problem and just told me the bus would come. The lady from Vietnam Adventure Tours then checked again for our names and it turned out that Asia Pearl Travel had forwarded our booking to them but without the booking number. So we could go on the tour after all, and it was good and Tuan was a great guide, but save yourself some hassle and book with Vietnam Adventure Tours directly and not Asia Pearl Travel.
Response from the operator: Dear Sir, Thank you very much for your feedback. In group tour business, we have day that we cannot gather enough travelers and we send our partners our customer or they can send us customers to go in a full bus. It is common operation of group tours. We make sure what we sell you will be conducted and guide are good. For checking in with the staff at tour beginning, kindly just show (read) your name only and the tour you go as the staff has your name on his list. Do not show the Viator travel ticket which tour guide and pick up staff has no way to check and are strange to. Thank you very much.

Cu Chi tunnel half day group tour
Our family had an interesting one-day tour at the Cu Chi Tunnels in Vietnam. We explored the historic tunnels and learned about the life of soldiers during the war. Our guide, John, was knowledgeable about the history and spoke English clearly and fluently, which made us very satisfied. Although it was quite hot outside, the tunnels were cool and pleasant due to the lush greenery. It's definitely worth the experience.

Great experience
Our local guide Tuan was great. His English is clear - the best of all guides we have experienced in Vietnam. The tour went perfectly as described. A recommendation is to take the morning one as it would be almost a whole day's experience so that we can see everything in detail and not be too rushed. We took the afternoon one and it was quite rush.
Response from the operator: Dear Traveler, We would like to thank for your feedback which to us is a treasure. We would like to wish you all the best and a happy vacation! Best regards, Windy

+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". Is Cu Chi Tunnel Half Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cu Chi Tunnel Half Day Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cu Chi Tunnel Half Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
