What you get
About this experience
We provide a top-quality rental experience at a competitive price, which Includes all fees! Free parking, safety equipment, and city launch fee. All at no extra cost! Crystal River is home to one of the largest manatee populations in the world. During the winter months hundreds of manatees congregate in the springs and you can't beat viewing these amazing animals up close from a stand up paddle board or kayak. Although Manatee season is during the winter time, resident manatees can still be spotted in the waterways year round. King’s Bay has more to offer than just manatees however, so whatever the time of year we'd love to get you out on the water to explore it! We have an excellent map so you can navigate the bay easily and save money by not paying for a guide. We will go over the map with you in detail before launch so you know how to get to the springs and where to look for manatees.

Our booking was canceled 2 hours prior to scheduled appointment. We were told we would receive a refund and have not.
Terrible experience- our session was canceled by the operator. It’s a week later we have not received our refund.
Response from the operator: We appreciate you letting us know about this, and we're very sorry about your cancellation issue. I was able to find your booking and there was technical problem that occurred with the refund. I've now manually issued the full refund for your cancelled booking. As a rental/tour business customer safety is always prioritized, and severe weather is something we take very seriously. We apologize for the short notice, we always try to alert customers as soon as we can confidently predict that it would be unsafe to proceed with the reservation. The refund will take a few business days to go through, but it is now officially issued and the technical issue has been amended. If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to call us at 352-564-0901!

Fantastic May Experience!
My daughter and I rented paddle boards for 2 hours and paddled to Three Sisters and back past Hunter’s Point. Since it was late in the season with warm water, there were no manatees in the springs, but we did see them in the canal on both sides of Hunter’s Point and just off the launch area in King’s Bay. Manatee Paddle was fantastic, and I cannot recommend them enough! I’d most definitely use them again! Thank you, Manatee Paddle, for a fabulous experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review!

Thank you for a great day on the water!
Great experience, helpful staff (didn't get to see manatees, but they gave us a helpful timeline of when we could see them if we're able to return!), fun experience overall!

Beautiful Creatures Worth Watching!!
My husband and I had an amazing time out on Crystal Bay looking for Manatees. We were able to find 2 different locations where there were both momma & baby just wading in the very shallow Springs. We also saw turtles, several different types of fish ducks, pelicans & of course sea gulls nesting on top of a sheltered pier & all I could hear in my head was, Mine, Mine, Mine, Mine!! Crystal Bay Manatee Paddle is worth re-visiting! WE WILL BE BACK!!

Great Value and a Great Experience
We rented 2 solo kayaks and paddled into 3 Sisters Springs - where we saw dozens of manatees! We went on Saturday afternoon and there were at least 100 other kayaks, paddle boards, and power boats - but it is a big area. You can get close to manatees if you get away from the crowd in side channels. The 2 hour rental was long enough and a great experience. Great location, kayaks, and launch location in Kings Bay.

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Crystal River Single Kayak Rental | 2 Hour | See The Manatees!: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Crystal River.
How much does Crystal River Single Kayak Rental | 2 Hour | See The Manatees! cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Crystal River usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Crystal River Single Kayak Rental | 2 Hour | See The Manatees! take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Crystal River is not rushed.
Is Crystal River Single Kayak Rental | 2 Hour | See The Manatees! worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Crystal River, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Crystal River Single Kayak Rental | 2 Hour | See The Manatees!?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Crystal River Single Kayak Rental | 2 Hour | See The Manatees! suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Crystal River Single Kayak Rental | 2 Hour | See The Manatees!?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Crystal River can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Crystal River and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Crystal River Single Kayak Rental | 2 Hour | See The Manatees! start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Crystal River within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Crystal River?
+
Crystal River is the one place in Florida with permitted in-water manatee tours: early-morning snorkel trips into Three Sisters Springs, scalloping in summer and spring-fed kayak paddles. On Outty we rank every Crystal River experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3 Hour Small Group All Inclusive Manatee Swim with free Photo pkg, Guided Small Group Manatee Snorkeling Tour with In-Water Photographer, Most Popular 3hr Manatee Swim Tour + In-Water Guide!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Crystal River?
+
November to March for manatee season, July to September for scalloping. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Crystal River?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
