    WHAT TERRIFIC DAY!! Highly recommend!!

I was a bit hesitant at first because I wasn’t sure what I signed up for and don’t ride often normally and so was worried about my fitness level but WHAT A RIDE !!! The staff were so friendly and helpful and encouraging and the e-bike was brilliant! The scenery is stunning, the track is equally terrifying and exhilarating, the boat ride to Clyde was a fun way to start and learn stuff (and the coffee and pastry at 3 peaks a very yum way to start) and lunch at the winery a fabulous treat with another fantastic view! Can’t rate this highly enough! Got a sore toosh today - but SO worth it!! 🤩

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for the great review! No need to be nervous at all, most people find the eBikes really easy to get comfortable with. Great to hear you enjoyed it all, hope to see you again for another adventure.

A great way to do Lake Dunstan cycle track

Excellent day out. Quality, well-serviced e-bikes - we have hired from several different suppliers and these were definitely the best. The boat ride up the lake was really interesting, comfortable and gave a great understanding of the history and landforms as well as a good overview of the bike track. The track is mostly well formed and delivers excellent views up and down the lake with places to stop, toilets and even a floating coffee cafe. There are a few hairy moments of narrow, rough track on blind bends with big drop offs and two way traffic - so best for confident riders. You can go either way but Clyde to Cromwell means you are on the inside round those hairy bends! Great lunch and wine tasting at Carrick - more than even hungry riders could manage. Easy drop off at the end and e-bike battery lasted really well, so all up, a great day out.

Response from the operator: Thanks for your feedback! We’re thrilled you had such a memorable day on the trail and loved the ride, the views, and all the stops along the way, especially the fabulous lunch and wine at Carrick. Sounds like a day well spent!

Great day out amongst the vineyards

Cromwell Bannockburn winery day tour. Loved it! E-bikes were great, views spectacular, lunch at Carrick so good. Recommend.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the review and great photos, Susan! We’re really pleased to hear you enjoyed the ride. Carrick is a fantastic spot for lunch and a favourite with many of our riders. Thanks so much for sharing your experience.

    Clyde to Cromwell direction recommended.

We cycled from Clyde to Cromwell. Pros - harder sections first, reach Carrick for lunch, cycle on the rock side. Cons - sun is in front of you. Beginners can do this if they take their time. Took us from 945 till 1530. '

Cromwell: Lake Dunstan & Carrick Winery: Boat and eBike Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Queenstown.

How much does Cromwell: Lake Dunstan & Carrick Winery: Boat and eBike Adventure cost?

    +

Prices start at $218 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Queenstown usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cromwell: Lake Dunstan & Carrick Winery: Boat and eBike Adventure take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Queenstown is not rushed.

Is Cromwell: Lake Dunstan & Carrick Winery: Boat and eBike Adventure worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Queenstown, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cromwell: Lake Dunstan & Carrick Winery: Boat and eBike Adventure?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cromwell: Lake Dunstan & Carrick Winery: Boat and eBike Adventure suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cromwell: Lake Dunstan & Carrick Winery: Boat and eBike Adventure?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Queenstown can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Queenstown and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cromwell: Lake Dunstan & Carrick Winery: Boat and eBike Adventure start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Queenstown within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Queenstown?

    +

On Outty we rank every Queenstown experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Milford Sound Small Group Tour & Cruise from Queenstown, Milford Sound Premium Small Group Tour & Cruise from Queenstown, Lord of the Rings Scenic Half Day Tour from Queenstown. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Queenstown?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Queenstown?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
