About this experience
Visit the magnificent Blue Cave, explore the beautiful old village Komiza, take a selfie in front of Stiniva Bay, dive into the blue oasis at the island of Budikovac and cap off your day with Dalmatian heavenly cuisine on Hvar. The Blue Cave tour became extremely popular and well-advertised, which brought its down side – the crowds. We altered our tour in the best way to avoid waiting in lines but still visit all the cool places. At the end of the day, it’s not about how many attractions you have seen, it’s about how much fun you’ve had.

Excursion of a lifetime
Wonderful experience. We opted to go on private tour to give us more flexibility. Adriatic sea id gorgeous. Well worth the expense. Ivan was great skipper. So glad I did it.
Response from the operator: Dear Tracy, thank you for your kind words. I'm always happy to hear we have made our client's day memorable. I wish you all the best and hope we see us again. Warm regards, Toni

A great company and people to work with
My family and I had a limited time to spend in Split but would love to be able to visit the Blue Cave and Hvar while we were in the area. We wanted a private charter so that we can maximize our time. After I read the reviews on TA, I decided to reach out to Tamaris Charter, and Toni (the CEO/Founder) responded very promptly via email. Toni was great and easy to work with. My family and I had many questions and he answered them very promptly via emails, every single time. Payment for the private charter was also seamless. It was done before the trip, through a secure online payment portal. Toni emailed our skipper name and contact info the day before the boat trip. This is helpful as we were about 10mins late that morning due to jetlag, and were able to inform Toma, our skipper. It was unfortunately a cold day with potential rain storm in the afternoon on the day we took the boat trip. Despite of the wether challenges, Toma, our skipper, planned the visits that day with that in mind, and we were able to hit every single spots. Toma took good care of us. He even offered and lended a jacket for our daughter who was not super prepared for the cold day. He covered the sides of the boat to make sure we won’t get splashed. Toma was an amazing and experienced skipper. He got us back in Split before the storm hits in full force. If and when we get back in Split, I would reach out to Toni again and hopefully Toma would be able to be our skipper again. I highly recommend Tamaris Charter for boating needs while in Split.

Great private tour
Had an amazing experience with our Skipper Filip. Highly recommend this tour!! Communication with Toni from Tamaris Charter and Filip was great all along, everything was on time and well organised. We got to see a few hidden spots thanks to our skipper as well as the blue caves and hvar. Definitively something to add to your trip in Croatia. Pickup at the pier next to our rental was a very nice bonus!!
Response from the operator: Thank you, Benoit! You were super chill throughout the booking process and Filip had a great time with your group onboard. Hope we see us again. :) Warm regards, Toni

Amazing experience
The boat was on time and our guide Marco was very helpful. The blue caves were fantastic and the season was just right as we didn't have to wait long. Hvar island was another highlight and had excellent restaurants.
Response from the operator: Thank you Sadgun for all the lovely words. We enjoyed being your host on this private tour. Hope we see us again. Best of luck! Toni

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Croatian Islands, Blue Cave Private Day Tour from Split or Trogir: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.
How much does Croatian Islands, Blue Cave Private Day Tour from Split or Trogir cost?
+
Prices start at $1373 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Croatian Islands, Blue Cave Private Day Tour from Split or Trogir take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.
Is Croatian Islands, Blue Cave Private Day Tour from Split or Trogir worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Croatian Islands, Blue Cave Private Day Tour from Split or Trogir?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Croatian Islands, Blue Cave Private Day Tour from Split or Trogir suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Croatian Islands, Blue Cave Private Day Tour from Split or Trogir?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Croatian Islands, Blue Cave Private Day Tour from Split or Trogir start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Split?
+
On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Split?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Split?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
