Craig Cat Tour and Chair rentals were top notch!
We used Riptide Water Sports for two different services while in Amelia Island and they are fantastic. We booked the Craig Cat ride and it was an absolute blast! We had Captain Bill and he was a phenomenal guide. I rode with him as we had a party of 3, and he was very informative but also always looking back to make sure everyone was safe and having fun. My husband and daughter loved it as well! Highly recommend this tour! We also the first day on the beach decided heck with putting up and taking down our canopy, so we rented chairs and an umbrella for the remainder of the trip, and it was fantastic. Our chairs were set up early each day and always nicely separated from others. It made it so easy to head to the beach for a few hours. We will absolutely use Riptide in the future when we come back to Ameila Island!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed both your CraigCat adventure and our beach chair and umbrella service. It sounds like you made the most of your time on Amelia Island! We love making vacation days a little more fun, and a lot more relaxing. We can’t wait to have you back!

Water Tour with Captain Bill
Captain Bill was a great guide. He had infinite patience with us as we were learning how to operate the boat. He told us of some very interesting history of the area. I highly recommend the tour with Captain Bill.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re thrilled you had a great time on the water and enjoyed learning a little about Amelia Island’s history along the way. We appreciate the recommendation and hope to have you back for another adventure soon!

This “Scaredy Cat” LOVED the CraigCat!
If you are considering taking the CraigCat tour, this is your sign to DO IT! I am, admittedly, overly nervous about any water adventure, but I would do this again without hesitation. We saw dolphins swimming around us, beautiful views of Fort Clinch, and the horses on Cumberland Island. Operating the boat was easy, safe, and fun. We had a blast with Captain Bill who was both knowledgeable and attentive. Hands down, this was our favorite adventure while in Amelia Island!
Response from the operator: This made our day, thank you! We love hearing that you stepped outside your comfort zone and had such an amazing experience. Nothing makes us happier than being the favorite adventure of your Amelia Island trip! We truly appreciate the recommendation and can't wait to welcome you back for another ride.

Wonderful and fun!
It was a perfect day! We did not see any dolphins that day but we did see wild horses and the ride was wonderful! Very comfortable in the boat and felt good. The view of the fort from the water was nice and just a very nice time on the water. Following everyone was fun and we plan to try to rent one in our area! Would definitely do again!
Response from the operator: We’re so glad you had a perfect day on the water! While the dolphins were hiding, seeing the wild horses and the historic fort makes for a pretty special trip. Thank you for the great feedback, and we hope you have just as much luck finding rentals near home!

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
CraigCat Boat Tour from Fernandina Beach: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jacksonville.
How much does CraigCat Boat Tour from Fernandina Beach cost?
+
Prices start at $135 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jacksonville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does CraigCat Boat Tour from Fernandina Beach take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jacksonville is not rushed.
Is CraigCat Boat Tour from Fernandina Beach worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 409 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Jacksonville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule CraigCat Boat Tour from Fernandina Beach?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is CraigCat Boat Tour from Fernandina Beach suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book CraigCat Boat Tour from Fernandina Beach?
+
Around 143 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jacksonville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jacksonville and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does CraigCat Boat Tour from Fernandina Beach start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jacksonville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jacksonville?
+
Jacksonville spreads along the St Johns River and 20 miles of Atlantic beach: kayak and paddleboard tours, brewery crawls, airboat rides and short runs down to Amelia Island. On Outty we rank every Jacksonville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amelia Island Guided Kayak Tour of Lofton Creek, The Escape Game at St. John's Town Center in Jacksonville, Electric Bike Art and Architecture Guided Tour in Jacksonville. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jacksonville?
+
March to May and October to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jacksonville?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
