Guide Didn't Show Up

The guide never showed up. I got ton the meeting point 10 minutes early and stayed 15 minutes late. I left two messages, but no one from the company answered. I requested a refund from Viator, which is processing now. But it cost me over 300 pesos round trip to get there and back, which I won't get back.

Response from the operator: As we told you, we are having problems with the platform and it is a problem that could not be resolved... we are very sorry for the problem.

Perfect 1/2 day tour.

Casual bike riding thru safe streets (not too many cars and those cars around were slow and respectful, unlike some of the busy streets near CDMX central city). The guide stopped to answer our questions and waited for us as we went thru the Frida Kalhoe Museum. Nice benefit. Bikes were fine, even over the few cobblestone roads.

Response from the operator: Your presence has been a gift for us. Thank you for sharing this space and time with us!

Tour guide No Show

I would rate this experience a zero if I could. After booking the tour 3 days in advance I received an immediate email confirmation and ticket with the name and phone number of the local guide. I communicated with the local guide , Poray. via WhatsApp 2 hours before our meeting time to confirm we would be there and waiting at the meeting spot and again when we arrived half an hour early. She did not respond. . When we arrived there was another group of 4 waiting for the same tour. About 15-20 minutes after the meeting time I called the guide. She finally responded and said she did not have a reservation for our group or the other group. I sent her a picture of the ticket that included her name, photo and phone number as well as my name and the meeting time and place. She insisted we did not have a tour booked that morning. I called Viator who put me on hold and finally came back to apologize and tell me I could expect a refund in 7 business days. We spent our morning and paid an Uber $17 to be on time for the tour using the directions sent to me from Viator. They should offer a refund for the Uber and something to compensate us for our time lost on waiting for the issue to be resolved.

Response from the operator: We very sorry for your bad experience, however, as we told you, the issue was with the reservation platform for which Poráy had no responsibility, they are taking charge of solving it. We hope you receive your refund as soon as possible.

Best bike tour I've done!

This was such a great tour and an excellent way to get to know the the neighborhood of Coyoacan. Carlos was so thorough throughout the tour and the companies intention to share all parts of the city with us (not just the happy tourist parts) was much appreciated. I feel that I really got to know many parts of Mexico City by doing two bike tours with Poray Bike Tours. Thank you!

Response from the operator: This is one of our best tours, thanks for recommend us.

Coyoacán Guided Biking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does Coyoacán Guided Biking Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $1100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Coyoacán Guided Biking Tour take?

+

Plan for about 2.7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is Coyoacán Guided Biking Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 41 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Coyoacán Guided Biking Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Coyoacán Guided Biking Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2.7-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Coyoacán Guided Biking Tour?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 2.7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Coyoacán Guided Biking Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
