Excellent, not to be missed, intro to the real Bangkok

This cycle tour was a highlight of our visit to Bangkok. The golden Buddhas of the Wats are magnificent, however cycling through the huge Khlongtoey 24-hour wet market, which caters to the city’s food businesses - then the friendly Khlongtoey neighbourhood itself, where 100,000 people live in an area of about 1.5 square km, on land owned by the Port Authority, felt like getting under the skin of the city. We took the bikes on the small ferry boat from Khlong Toei Nok Pier to the south side of the Chao Phraya River and the most surprising place of all - Bang Nam. Landing there, only minutes later, in what is another district of a different Thai province, is like emerging into a tropical forest. Densely green, full of fruit trees and palms and birdsong, this collection of villages just south of Bangkok at the mouth of the Chao Phraya River, is strictly protected and nicknamed Bangkok’s ‘Green Lung’. Our guide, Micheil, took the time (and immense patience) to introduce us to some Thai phrases and also local freshly made foods. He was incredible in his professionalism and care - without overly controlling our experience. And finally - wow. Micheil took fantastic photos of us, whilst cycling somehow. Great souvenirs to keep. Thank you very much - we loved it!

Response from the operator: Hi Tracey & Steve, Thanks for your nice review and always good to hear when our tours are enjoyed. It was my greatst pleasure to show you the city and the green side. Hope you will have a wonderful time in Asia before going back to Wales.... Welcome back when in Thailand again. Best regards, Michiel Hoes

A great way to all parts of Bangkok

Had a great day out with Cream as our tour guide only 4 people on the tour so very friendly. Enjoyed seeing the green side of Bangkok and the floating market. My only comment would be although described as an easy ride riding on some of the narrow paths was a challenge but we made it back safe.

Response from the operator: Hi and thanks for your nice review. It was great to ledo you through Bnagkok and the green part on Bangkok. Hope to welcom you back again. Best regards, Cream (your tour guide)

Deep Bangkok & nature

The last day of my business trip in Bangkok, I selected this bike tour. The local market was exactly DEEP Bangkok where lots of fishes, fruits and animals were displayed. Then we went to a small forest via a boat. We biked several narrow paths there. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see different Bangkok.

Response from the operator: Thanks for your niece review and always nice to hear that you enjoyed our tour soooo much. It ws also our pleasure to lean you through and outside Bangkok. Whenever you are back then you are most welcome to join us again for another tour and experience. Best regards, Michiel Hoes

The company takes great care of safety and comfort.

This is my first cycling tour and the company made me feel very comfortable. Making much efforts to check on my comfort with the pace, the bicycle and ensuring we are hydrated! This experience on bicycle at the country side, wet markets and boat ride is simply amazing! Something my 2 feet can never achieve.

Response from the operator: Thanks Priscilla for your nice review and always goor to learn how our customers have enjoyed the tours. Yes safety is the most important but you as an excellent bike rider it was not hard. I do hope that you enjoyed the Miang Kham which you tasted at the floating market... Anyhow hope to see you next time in Singapore. Take care and have a nice and wonderful evening. Best regards, Michiel Hoes

Countryside Bangkok and a Local Floating Market Tour by Bicycle Including Lunch: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does Countryside Bangkok and a Local Floating Market Tour by Bicycle Including Lunch cost?

+

Prices start at $2400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Countryside Bangkok and a Local Floating Market Tour by Bicycle Including Lunch take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is Countryside Bangkok and a Local Floating Market Tour by Bicycle Including Lunch worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Countryside Bangkok and a Local Floating Market Tour by Bicycle Including Lunch?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Countryside Bangkok and a Local Floating Market Tour by Bicycle Including Lunch suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Countryside Bangkok and a Local Floating Market Tour by Bicycle Including Lunch?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Countryside Bangkok and a Local Floating Market Tour by Bicycle Including Lunch start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

+

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
