    A wonderful experience!

The cooking class at Ubbipò was one of the highlights of our trip and an experience I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for genuine Italian hospitality, authenticity, and tradition. It truly felt like spending the day cooking with family rather than attending a class. Our experience started with a visit to the local market, where Adriana guided us through the local products we could choose from and even let us taste some products we didn't knew (like a local fig). After buying everything that we needed, we headed to Ubbipò: a beautiful B&B/osteria on a hill with breathtaking views over the surrounding hills and the sea. From the moment we arrived, Adriana and her family welcomed us with such warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. Nonna patiently showed us how to prepare fresh pasta, a delicious pomodoro sauce and stuffed zucchini flowers. Adriana made sure to translate to perfect English whenever needed cause Nonna only speaks italian but that made the experience only more authentic! Nonna was especially sweet for our son of 8 years old: she helped him with love and patience throughout the cooking class and turns out he is a born pastamaker :D. The class takes place mostly on their beautiful terrace, surrounded by stunning views. Also everyone of Adriana's family came to meet and chat with us during the cooking class, we really felt like home! Once everything was ready, a beautifully set table awaited us, where we enjoyed our meal, accompanied by a good local wine. If you want to experience authentic Italian family life, local food and genuine warmth, then Ubbipò is an experience you simply shouldn't miss!

    A True Italian Experience

We met Adriana and her son at the marketplace, made pasta with Nonna, and enjoyed our lunch in beautiful surroundings. This was the highlight to our stay in Agropoli! Our experience went far beyond our expectations!

    Mini-moon at Ubippò

We had our mini-moon at ubbipo. The family runned hotel with a beautifull view convinced is to book. When we arrived, Ernesto (man of the house) welcomed us personally. Showed the room and explained everything. We booked the cooking class with Nonna, wich is just incredible. Italian cuisine runs through her veins. It's awesome to see and Taste how easy she cooks at a high level. Pure Italian vibes. Adriana (woman of the house) was a nice host. She suggested a boat trip and a diner at a Restaurant. Two homeruns which we also recommend. She joined us for a degustive after our meal and made a nice conversation. So if you like pure Italian lifestyle, food and family, we highly recommend Ubbipò. Made our holiday one to remember!

The course was interactive, easy to do and most importantly, incredibly tasty. Adriana took us to the local market to pick out what we fancied to cook before handing us over to Nonna who showed us exactly how to cook it. We finished by eating what we had made with a beautiful view over the ocean. The course from start to finish felt very special and it's a must for anyone to do in the area!

    Wonderful local experience

My friend and I took this cooking class and we had the best time! We made pasta from scratch with two sauces (one with a tomato sauce, another with zucchini flowers) out on the property's terrace with a beautiful view of the coast. We also enjoyed some delicious local wine, as well as fried pizza dough, and a fig cake that one of the cooks had just baked. I was a little worried about my lactose intolerance but they were able to accommodate that with no problem. The best part of the experience was hanging out with Nonna's family, including her two sons, their wives, and Nonna's grandkids. The family runs a bed and breakfast as well as a restaurant that I'd love to check out next time. This class was exactly the kind of local and intimate experience we were looking for. Thank you Ubippo!

Cooking with Nonna Maria: Market to Table in Cilento: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salerno.

How much does Cooking with Nonna Maria: Market to Table in Cilento cost?

    +

Prices start at $260 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salerno usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cooking with Nonna Maria: Market to Table in Cilento take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salerno is not rushed.

Is Cooking with Nonna Maria: Market to Table in Cilento worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salerno, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cooking with Nonna Maria: Market to Table in Cilento?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cooking with Nonna Maria: Market to Table in Cilento suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cooking with Nonna Maria: Market to Table in Cilento?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salerno can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salerno and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cooking with Nonna Maria: Market to Table in Cilento start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salerno within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Salerno?

    +

On Outty we rank every Salerno experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Amalfi Coast Experience from Sorrento, Naples or Salerno, Small-Group Amalfi Coast Day Cruise from Positano, Amalfi Coast Boat tour Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Salerno?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Salerno?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
