Not only did I have a Cooking Experience, I made a Food Friend!!!!
This is a must do experience when in Athens!!!! Aspasia not only let me in to her apartment for a cooking class, but made me feel at home for a cooking experience!!! 😋 I had such a wonderful time with her as she walked me through making a simple but authentic and delicious Greek meal. We made stuffed peppers, stuffed eggplants, scrambled eggs and tomatoes, Greek meatballs with yougart dipping sauce and dessert of rice pudding!!! For someone who does not cook, she was patient and explained everything. This was so so much fun and I can not begin to say how much I enjoyed myself that night! I know that we will stay in touch and Aspasia will help me to grow in my cooking and I can truly say I now have made a new friend who I can share my love of food with!!! Take her class!!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It was an absolute pleasure having you in my kitchen, and I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed the experience as much as I did. I’m so happy that you felt at home and that we could share such a memorable evening cooking together. You did an amazing job with each dish, and I’m excited to hear about your future culinary adventures! Stay in touch, and remember I’m always here to help if you need any more tips or inspiration in the kitchen. Looking forward to our next cooking session together!

Not a cooking class …
Thank you so much for the care and attention you both brought to the experience. We did sign up for a cooking class, which I have done many and also host them myself and this was more like hanging with aunties and chatting and being served food that we didn’t order for a very high price. Although I honor and appreciate the effort this wasn’t a cooking class at all and that was very disappointing for me as I wanted to participate in an interactive experience learning how to prepare and to make authentic Greek food. After realizing the menu, I almost canceled because nothing cooked was unusual. I know how to make cake and meatballs, bread with oil and feta, peppers with cheese and tomatoes. That’s on me for not closely looking at the menu. What people want is to cook, to learn the sauces, the spices, and common dishes shared among Greek families. In the end, I felt bummed to have paid such a high price to sit and be served food I wouldn’t have ordered and the cost was higher than in a fancy restaurant.
Response from the operator: Dear Naomi, We are sorry that you did not enjoy our experience, but we are reading your comments with surprise and unfortunately we cannot understand the cause of your dissatisfaction. The menu of the class is exactly as described in the online listing. It is a complete meal with very characteristic Greek dishes. We prepared almost all the dishes in front of the guests and encouraged them to participate at every stage. They were quite reluctant to do so but did not provide any specific feedback in person. Regarding the price, it is a reasonable amount for such an experience and cannot be compared to the corresponding price of a restaurant. Even though a large part of the review is not accurate, we will take into consideration what was written and will do everything we can to further improve the quality of the experience. Sincerely, Aspasia

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cooking Class with Aspasia in the Heart of Athens: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Cooking Class with Aspasia in the Heart of Athens cost?
+
Prices start at $108 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cooking Class with Aspasia in the Heart of Athens take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Cooking Class with Aspasia in the Heart of Athens worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cooking Class with Aspasia in the Heart of Athens?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cooking Class with Aspasia in the Heart of Athens suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cooking Class with Aspasia in the Heart of Athens?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cooking Class with Aspasia in the Heart of Athens start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
