Fantastic cooking class
We arrived at the market to meet Mong and was meant to also be another 5 people, they cancelled at the last minute which meant we got a personal class for 2, which we didnt mind at all. Had an interesting tour round the market with Mong telling us all about the vegetables and herbs etc, then headed back to the class. It was decided we were going going to make a curry paste in place of a dish as only 2 of us, so then made green chicken curry with the paste. Made also Tom Yum chicken soup and also chicken pad Thai. Set out all the fresh ingradients first which is normal when cooking any sort of food like this, then cooked each individual dish and enjoyed eating it. There was also a coconut tapioca pudding at the end, which was very sweet. Would we do this again? Absolutely! It was great fun and you learnt a lot, andMkng was very good at answeringg questions

Best family activity
We have just participated in a cooking class with Mong at the smiley cook at Koh Samui. Both our two teenagers and us adults loved it and we learned a lot. It was a very professional set up with a lot of information, we all really liked Mong.

Very Worthwhile
I highly recommend this for anyone travelling to Thailand who'd love to try and make some delicious Thai food when they return home. We learnt so much about Thai ingredients. We were collected at our hotel on time by our very friendly guide who's English was excellent. We got to make 4 delicious dishes in a lovely outdoor garden kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed eating everything. Thanks for an excellent day

Best cookery course ever.
Fantastic family run cookery course led by Bung who is a very professional, talented chef. Loved our session from start to finish, met in our hotel and driven to the market to view the local produce and fresh fruit and vegetables. We chose to make red curry paste for red chicken curry, pad kra pao with minced beef and cashew nuts with deep fried chicken. Fantastic dishes, so tasty, probably the best Thai food we have ever tasted. Loved the small groups, makes it very manageable and personal. Would definitely recommend. Best cookery course ever.

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cooking Class in Ko Samui for Small Group: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.
How much does Cooking Class in Ko Samui for Small Group cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cooking Class in Ko Samui for Small Group take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.
Is Cooking Class in Ko Samui for Small Group worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 109 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cooking Class in Ko Samui for Small Group?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cooking Class in Ko Samui for Small Group suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cooking Class in Ko Samui for Small Group?
+
Around 38 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cooking Class in Ko Samui for Small Group start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?
+
On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Koh Samui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
