One of the Best Cooking Classes in Delhi
One of the Best Cooking Classes in Delhi — Such a Wonderful Experience I booked this cooking class in Delhi completely last minute, and I honestly couldn’t be happier that I did. First of all, I was really surprised and grateful that JD and his team accepted my booking at such short notice. They welcomed me into their home and immediately made me feel so comfortable. I was greeted with JD’s special chai and, oh my God, that chai was so good. He really is a chai master. Then we started the cooking class, and I have to say, I was really impressed with how everything was organised. It was a proper hands-on Indian cooking class. I wasn’t just sitting and watching someone cook. I was actually cooking, learning the techniques and understanding why we were doing things in a certain way. Everything was explained so nicely and without making it complicated. By the end, I honestly felt like Indian cooking was actually a piece of cake for me. I felt much more confident and, most importantly, I knew I could go home and actually make these dishes myself. And then we ate what we had cooked. Oh my God. Literally one of the best meals I had in India. But the best part is that I didn’t just get to eat an amazing Indian meal. I now have the knowledge and experience to recreate it at home. That made me really happy. JD, his father and the whole Explore Real India team are such amazing hosts. These are exactly the kind of people I love meeting when I travel. They don’t just show you the tourist side of India. They share their food, culture, hospitality and everyday life with you. For me, this is what makes travelling special. You visit a country, meet wonderful people, learn something new, and come home with a memory that stays with you. They have other experiences in Delhi too, and after doing this Indian cooking class, I honestly want to try them all. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cooking class in Delhi or an authentic Indian cooking experience. Do at least one of their experiences and you’ll understand what I’m talking about. And it’s not just me. They have thousands of reviews from other travellers saying similar things. After meeting JD and his team, I can completely understand why. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to India.

More than just a cooking class!
We’ve done cooking classes all over the world and can honestly say this is one of the very best!! From arrival to JD’s family home and welcome with a warm masala chai (still the best we’ve had anywhere in India), we hit it off immediately. And more than just learning some fantastic recipes that we hope to be able to recreate, JD shared so much about local culture and regional customs that helped shape our whole trip. This is a truly exceptional experience that goes well beyond a normal cooking class— paired with the steeetfood tour JD also operates in Old Delhi, it’s the opportunity to connect with a local family and understand India from the inside out. We will definitely be back!!
