Our #1 Recommendation in Tuscany
Chef Dedalo and Chef Otilia host an amazing Tuscan culinary experience. Their cooking class was our most favorite, lasting family memory from our trip to Cortona and I cannot recommend it enough. They welcome you into their beautiful country home to share an evening with their family, providing delicious wine straight from their vineyards and a tasty, authentic, and approachable menu which they will teach you to cook. Prepare to roll up your sleeves. If you want to get a sense of how a real Italian family lives, then this is for you. We were in Cortona visiting our daughter who is studying there, and decided to book this experience as a family. Each of us agree that cooking with Chef Dandy and Otilia and their family was the best night of our trip, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. It feels like a special honor to be a guest in their hospitable home and kitchen, and you’ll feel like you’re among friends that you’ve know for ages. I hope to return someday, thank you again Dedalo and Otilia.
Response from the operator: Grazie molte per le bellissima parole 🙏 Spero che ci rivedremo !!

A delightful experience
My husband and I took a cooking class (just the two of us) taught by Dèdalo and his wife Otilia in their home. My Italian is so-so but my husband only speaks English but communication wasn’t a problem; Dèdalo and Otilia speak English well. We were made to feel very welcome. The class (lasting about four hours) consisted of two kinds of bruschetta that Dèdalo had made (he shared the recipes with us), a ragù that he made with us, fresh pasta that Otilia made with us, and ended with tiramisù that we made with her. Water, caffè, and wine were freely offered. My husband and I then ate our meal on their terrace that had a beautiful view. The family was just lovely. Dèdalo’s parents were there pitching in, as were their young daughter and her cousin. It was a peek into Italian family life capped off with a delicious meal. We thoroughly enjoyed their generous hospitality and would highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys cooking.

The Best Part of our Holiday
I booked this cookery course for myself and my daughter and her friend. it was amazing. I can't say how much fun it was and getting to meet a lovely family at the same time was even more special. the course was organised so well and each dish was well thought out and we learnt so much. I've made fresh pasta since I got back.

HIghly Recommend This Fun and Relaxing Cooking Class - Delicious!
This experience was so much fun! Our host was such a character - amazing stories and great food with an Italian family. Chef Dandy was so welcoming, and we loved that his mother was part of the class as well, showing us exactly how to make the dough. If you're looking for a relaxing day where you learn to make some delicious dishes - this is a great experience for you. And, compared to some other cooking classes available, it was very reasonably priced for what you get. We even had a certification ceremony and Chef Dandy sent us tons of cute pics he took during the class and all our recipes.

Coming class in private home
What a fantastic experience! Dedalo and his mom and dad opened up their home to us and shared with us their love of cooking. While learning the recipes and correct way of making the food, we shared stories of travel and glasses of wine. Hope that we can replicate the deliciousness upon our return home. Thank you again! I highly recommend this experience.

Cooking class Cortona: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arezzo.
How much does Cooking class Cortona cost?
+
Prices start at $153 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arezzo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cooking class Cortona take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arezzo is not rushed.
Is Cooking class Cortona worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arezzo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cooking class Cortona?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cooking class Cortona suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cooking class Cortona?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arezzo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arezzo and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cooking class Cortona start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arezzo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arezzo?
+
On Outty we rank every Arezzo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tour of the vineyards and tasting of Evo wines and oil in Tuscany, Wine and olive oil tastings with the locals, Cellar Tour & Wine Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arezzo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arezzo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Cooking class Cortona?
+
Included: Wine and Water; and Lunch. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
What languages is Cooking class Cortona offered in?
+
It is offered in English, Italian, Romanian and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Cooking class Cortona?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
Is Cooking class Cortona wheelchair or stroller accessible?
+
The operator notes: Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller; and Specialized infant seats are available. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
What happens to Cooking class Cortona if the weather is bad?
+
This experience depends on good weather. If it is canceled because of poor weather, you are offered a different date or a full refund.
