    Extremely disappointed!

Unfortunately, it seems that they have changed this activity. The reviews that we read do not match the activity that we experienced. The meeting point for the activity changed on the last day and we ended up at a school about 15 minutes walk away. It appears that they had never run a class/activity like this before as there was no instruction or teaching (we were only informed when we were doing it wrong!) and we didn’t go home with any recipes. We did a lot of standing around and watching someone whisk. At least 45 minutes of the class was just that. There were eight of us in the course, and everyone was extremely disappointed and felt that we signed up for something much different. (it seems that whoever was in charge of that tour was more concerned about running around and getting photos of us then they were about making sure that we were having a good experience..) choose something else while you are in Florence or you will be disappointed!

Response from the operator: Dear customer, we apologize that your perception of the experience was so different from what you read. Regarding the meeting point, due to the high demand for this highly regarded activity, it cannot be a single location, as we collaborate with a few carefully selected and tested chefs. Therefore, indicating a single meeting point is not possible. In this regard, we recommend arriving 15 minutes early in front of our offices, from where you will then reach the actual activity location, all of which are within a 5-minute walk. As for the explanation of the recipes, part of the lesson inevitably involves theory before getting hands-on with the cooking process. Additionally, the procedure for making gelato, once the ingredients are mixed, requires an extended mixing phase, which is often skipped for participants to have more time for questions and in-depth learning. We apologize for not providing you with the recipes before leaving the class; it was an oversight. If you would like, please contact us via email, and we will promptly send you the recipes. Best regards ACCORD Team

    A great afternoon!

Our cooking class was great fun! Our teacher was humorous and made the session a laugh. We learned how to make focaccia and pizza and made a pizza each. We also made sorbet and gelato and then had it all for dinner. The other guys there were also fun. Thanks for a memorable experience.

Response from the operator: Dear Jo, I believe you have grasped the true recipe for a great meal: cooking is a wonderful experience, a moment in which we create, blend ingredients and savor something that will be shared with our loved ones or even newly met people; it's a communal moment. This aspect of our cuisine also contributes to making Mediterranean cuisine one of the healthiest! We are delighted that our instructor was able to convey all of this to you and the other participants. We sincerely hope to have you with us again for another memorable experience! Best regards ACCORD Team

    A must do in Florence

An ABSOLUTE MUST! Breath taking views of Florence from atop a beautiful mountain estate and only 15 mins from the city centre. The 3 staff honestly made this thr best experience we've had on our entire trip. Max, Titsiamo and Tomas were so much fun, kind and great teachers. If I could give more stars I would.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, your review filled us with joy! We are pleased that you found our experience fun and interesting. We hope to have you back with us on another special experience of ours. Thank you for sharing your opinion! Kind regards ACCORD Team

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Cook Like an Italian: Pizza & Gelato Cooking Class in Florence cost?

    +

Prices start at $105 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cook Like an Italian: Pizza & Gelato Cooking Class in Florence take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Cook Like an Italian: Pizza & Gelato Cooking Class in Florence worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cook Like an Italian: Pizza & Gelato Cooking Class in Florence?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cook Like an Italian: Pizza & Gelato Cooking Class in Florence suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cook Like an Italian: Pizza & Gelato Cooking Class in Florence?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cook Like an Italian: Pizza & Gelato Cooking Class in Florence start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
