Historic and cultural factors for Croatian Nationalism

Recommended - The presenter, a high school geography teacher, provided a very informative and engaging introduction to Croatia. However, the presentation made me regret coming to this beautiful Adriatic country. While individual Croatians that I’ve met (in the tourist industry) have been gracious and kind, I was disheartened to learn how pervasively nationalistic and racist Croatian society is. I guess it isn’t surprising given that Croatia fought a civil war, just thirty-five years ago, “to make Croatia homogeneous [ly catholic].”
