I absolutely recommend!
Jeff tours was recommended to us by our Inn and we were not disappointed , we wanted to visit the Apartheid Museum but it was unfortunately closed , Joseph our Guide offered us another visit to the Hector Pieterson Museum and adapted throughout the tour. As we already knew Soweto he adapted his turn according to our desires. Everything was possible and everything was easy. Joseph is a thoughtful Guide therefore but also very interesting and friendly. We loved our visit and our Guide, our teens too were delighted! We absolutely recommend!!! Come to Johannesburg to meet Joseph and better understand the history of South Africa and apartheid!

Okish. Better to take Uber and do it on your own.
The guided tour didn’t cover women jail and fort. Also Gandhi museum was not covered by the guide. Although when I was visiting these places on my own I saw other guides covering the same. In apartheid museum guided tour was not given and I was left on my own to explore.
Response from the operator: Dear Okish Thank you for the review We are going to look your complain and make an improvement What I know the guide told you this is a self guiding museum and give you the map of the museum because the museum is about reading and short videos all is in english that the language you speak you didn't have any problem to understand english if there was any problem you were not happy you suppose to discuss it with your guide. Many thanks

Very interesting experience exploring the prison and recent history of SA
We visited on a not-busy Sunday in winter, and really enjoyed the guided tour which last an hour or so, taking us around the Block 4 and isolation areas. The tour was a touch rushed, so we went back and revisited the parts we missed. The women's prison was more artistic and nicely laid out, but we ran out of steam! Maybe worth seeing it first, then doing the tour after? Remarkable considering how recent the history is. The prison is now surrounded by tall buildings in a fairly deprived part of town.
Response from the operator: Many thanks well noted

Johannesburg Private Tour
Joseph gave us a very informative tour. He was very accommodating with our questions. We took our time with the different places we went to, and weren't felt rushed. Overall, it was a great tour.
Response from the operator: thank you so much

Constitution Hill And Apartheid Museum Combined: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Johannesburg.
How much does Constitution Hill And Apartheid Museum Combined cost?
+
Prices start at $114 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Johannesburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Constitution Hill And Apartheid Museum Combined take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Johannesburg is not rushed.
Is Constitution Hill And Apartheid Museum Combined worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Johannesburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Constitution Hill And Apartheid Museum Combined?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Constitution Hill And Apartheid Museum Combined suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Constitution Hill And Apartheid Museum Combined?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Johannesburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Johannesburg and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Constitution Hill And Apartheid Museum Combined start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Johannesburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Johannesburg?
+
On Outty we rank every Johannesburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soweto and Johannesburg Exclusive Full Day Guided Tour, Ultimate Johannesburg Soweto Experience with Apartheid Museum, Full Day Pilanesberg Experience in Open Vehicle. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Johannesburg?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Johannesburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
