Colosseum

Great value for the Coloseum! Easy access to tickets and the vendor was very easy to communicate with when I made an error with the time.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind feedback.

Great Experience with an Excellent Virtual Tour

We had a great experience visiting the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. The whole experience was well organized and made it easy to enjoy these incredible historical sites. What I especially liked was the virtual tour. The link worked perfectly and the content was really interesting and informative. It felt almost like watching a well-made documentary about the history of the Colosseum and ancient Rome. It gave us a much better understanding of what we were seeing during the visit and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Rome, especially if you are interested in history. The combination of visiting the sites in person and having the virtual tour to learn more about them was excellent.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind feedback.

Amazing day at colosseum

Excellent value for money. The instructions before our visit were clear, and the staff were very helpful whenever we needed assistance. The virtual audio guide contained a lot of interesting historical information and made our visit much more engaging. If you're looking for a self-guided experience instead of a traditional guided tour, this is a perfect choice. Everything was exactly as described, and we had a wonderful time visiting the Colosseum.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind feedback.

Great way to visit the Colosseum

This was a great way to visit the Colosseum at our own pace. The tickets worked perfectly, and the audio guide was very informative and easy to follow. The app automatically played the explanations as we moved through the site, but we could also play them manually whenever we wanted. It was a flexible and enjoyable experience without having to stay with a group. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who prefers exploring independently.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind feedback.

Frustrating Experience

It was partly my fault as I did not fully understand the Virtual Tour aspect. I thought it was a guided tour with audio. We did not have any headsets and had to get management involved at the colosseum. Had trouble obtaining tickets. We also had trouble with guide app. It kept dropping signal and we couldn't sync up with where we were. We gave up and simply walked around. I have to say it was the worst tour experience. Never again. I want my money back but no refunds

Response from the operator: We believe this is not a fair assessment. You booked a **Colosseum ticket with an Audio Guide**. At no point does the product description state that headphones are included. Nevertheless, our manager personally came to assist you on-site, guided you throughout the process, and even accompanied you all the way to the Colosseum entrance to ensure everything went smoothly. Our app is an intelligent audio guide that automatically plays the relevant content as you reach each point of interest. It also includes a manual play option, allowing you to start the audio yourself at any time. A great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this audio guide to provide visitors with a high-quality experience. Unfortunately, if the product was misunderstood at the time of booking or the description was not read carefully, that is not something we can be held responsible for. The service you received was exactly as described in the product listing.

Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill, Ticket with Virtual Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill, Ticket with Virtual Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $11 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill, Ticket with Virtual Tour take?

+

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill, Ticket with Virtual Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill, Ticket with Virtual Tour?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill, Ticket with Virtual Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill, Ticket with Virtual Tour?

+

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill, Ticket with Virtual Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
