Amazing Experience!
This 3 in 1 package is a steal! Being able to have access to the Coliseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill was very convenient especially since they’re all in the same vicinity. I will note, they really stick to arrival times so be sure to arrive early for your guide/pick up your tickets. We opted to do the audio guide and it was definitely worth it because the audio guide was so informative and easy to follow along. 10/10 highly recommend for your next trip to Rome.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted that you enjoyed visiting the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill, and that you found the audio guide informative and easy to follow. Thank you also for highlighting the importance of arriving early, as entrance times are strictly regulated by the Colosseum. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Rome for another unforgettable experience!

Hot but amazing tour
It was a wonderful experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. His name was Joseph. It was very hot today so at times I was wanting to go back to the hotel. I stuck it out and was I happy I did. The only thing I didn’t like was out tour was originally at 3:00 the was moved to 330 and once again to 345. If it wasn’t so hot it probably wouldn’t have mattered. I would recommend to friends
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your wonderful review and for recommending our experience! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and especially appreciated **Joseph’s knowledge and friendly approach**. We will be very happy to share your kind words with him. We also sincerely apologize for the changes to the starting time. During the busy summer season, small delays can occasionally occur due to operational circumstances, and we completely understand that waiting in the intense Rome heat can make even a short delay uncomfortable. We truly appreciate your patience and are very happy that, despite the heat, you decided to continue and had such a rewarding experience. We hope to welcome you back to Rome again! **Tour in the City Team**

Poor touristic sites experience
Buying the tickets was very smooth. Unfortunatelly the whole tourist sites organisation is extremelly poor - local employees attitude is extremely rude. Also the Coloseum is a mess in term of signs and organization
Response from the operator: We are pleased to hear that the ticket purchasing process was smooth. However, we would like to clarify that we are not responsible for the management, organization, signage, or staff of the Colosseum and archaeological sites, as these are managed directly by the relevant authorities and are completely independent of our company. We are sorry that these aspects negatively affected your overall experience. We believe it would have been fairer if the review and rating of our service had focused specifically on the service we provided, while comments regarding the organization of the Colosseum were addressed directly to the site management. Thank you for your understanding.

Do Not Book With This Company
Absolute shambles of a company. Purchased colosseum ticket with audio tour for me and 10yr old son, audio tour didn’t work everytime I put username & passcode in it gave error message so I messaged and emailed this company but no reply until next day when it was too late. Then they tried to say it was my fault, I must have entered codes wrong, maybe no phone service etc but it was no o of those it’s just the system they used didn’t work. My advice is pay a little more for a proper tour or save yourself a lot of money by just booking entrance ticket only on official Colosseum website because with this company it’s a waste of time and a big disappointment!!!
Response from the operator: We are sorry to read your review, but we would like to clarify a few important points: **1. Audio guide service** Our audio guides are used successfully every day by hundreds of customers without any issues. The system is regularly used by visitors to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. **2. Link and internet connection** On the morning of your visit, we sent you the link and instructions to access the audio guide. You then attempted to download the application without a Wi-Fi connection. A stable internet connection is required to download and activate the app correctly before the visit. **3. Assistance provided** When you contacted us, we provided assistance and worked to identify the cause of the problem. We did not simply “blame” you; we explained the possible technical reasons why the application might not have worked correctly in your specific case. **4. Partial refund** Although the entrance tickets were provided correctly, we also issued you a **partial refund** as a gesture of goodwill. We believe this is an important detail that should also be mentioned when describing the overall experience. **5. Booking on the official Colosseum website** Regarding your suggestion to purchase entrance tickets directly from the official Colosseum website, we agree: purchasing directly from the official website is certainly a good option, **provided that tickets are available for the date and time you want**. Customers who book through our service are choosing additional services and assistance alongside their reservation. We are sorry that the experience did not meet your expectations, but we believe it is only fair to provide the complete context, including the assistance provided and the partial refund already issued.

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Colosseum, Palatine Hill & Roman Forum Live Guide or Audio App: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Colosseum, Palatine Hill & Roman Forum Live Guide or Audio App cost?
+
Prices start at $18 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Colosseum, Palatine Hill & Roman Forum Live Guide or Audio App take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Colosseum, Palatine Hill & Roman Forum Live Guide or Audio App worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 3,464 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Colosseum, Palatine Hill & Roman Forum Live Guide or Audio App?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 168 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Colosseum, Palatine Hill & Roman Forum Live Guide or Audio App suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Colosseum, Palatine Hill & Roman Forum Live Guide or Audio App?
+
Around 1,212 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Colosseum, Palatine Hill & Roman Forum Live Guide or Audio App start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
