This tour lasts 3 hours and a fair amount of walking is involved, including some stairs and uphill paths.

- Strollers are allowed but not recommended, as stairs are steep and the ground is uneven; children must be carried by an adult or be able to walk for most of the tour
- Wear comfortable shoes; bring hat and sunscreen
- There is no scheduled break, but it will be possible to stop for restrooms along the path, as needed

- For security reasons, all visitors and their luggage shall be screened; all objects (including mobile phones) must be put in the bag/backpack or in the tray for X-ray screening
- Large backpacks, camping bags, bulky bags, and luggage/trolleys are not allowed; medium and small backpacks can be shouldered and must be checked, as any other bag, with metal detectors, opened and visually inspected by security
- Please notice that the Colosseum Administration has the faculty to close the Colosseum, or parts of it, with or without notice, for events, strikes, heavy rain, or any other reason. In which case, we will offer an alternative itinerary as it seems fit or offer a partial refund.

An amazing day’s tour of ancient Rome
As someone who studied Roman archaeology at university my trip to Rome was a dream come true. To make the most of my trip, I booked a full day tour of the Colosseum, the archaeological park and a number of other ancient Roman sites in the area. Elisa was a brilliant guide who organised the day so I saw everything I wanted and she told me so many amazing things about the sites. It was the absolute highlight of my trip. Wonderful private tour guide!

Spectacular!!
This tour was great but what made it super was our tour guide Marle Robinson. She was very knowledgeable and helped in us having an intimate experience with the colleseum. Her presentation brought to life many historical facts and information. I learned so much and will definitely recommend this tour!!!💯💯💯💯❤❤❤

Private tour is the best way to avoid lines and learn about an amazing history
I have seen the Colosseum when I was my son's age so it was nice to take a tour with him and my wife and have a greater appreciation for this magnificent structure. Our guide was great and her art history background really filled in many of the missing pieces for looking at the forum and palantine as well. We appreciated the skip the line tickets and highly recommend that option.
