    Don’t miss this one!

Our visit to Vina Kabal in Štanjel was absolutely spectacular. Tina was a wonderful hostess—warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. She explained each of the wines beautifully, making the tasting both informative and enjoyable. The cheese, olive, and prosciutto board was honestly the best I’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the wines. The setting was charming and authentic, making the whole experience truly special. I highly recommend a visit if you’re anywhere near the area—you won’t be disappointed!

    Bad experience, avoid!

We did not go to Cividale del fruili as the itenary stated. We believed the tour would be an Italian wine tasting, however we completed wine tasting in Slovenia. The wine tasting was not informative (no tasting notes ect). Our guide for the day was racist, sexist and homophobic. We are deeply disappointed and would like a full refund.

Response from the operator: Dear Sadie Karia, You booked the Collio tour, which is a cross-border wine region encompassing both Italy and Slovenia. The tour was provided exactly as described, including all scheduled wine tastings and visits. Your claims that our guide was “racist, sexist, and homophobic” are completely unfounded. Our guides are carefully trained professionals with years of experience, and there were no reports of inappropriate behavior during your tour. During the tour, you did not raise any concerns. In fact, our guide went above and beyond by showing additional locations at no extra charge and personally dropping you off at your hotel. This demonstrates a level of service well beyond the standard tour experience. Given that the tour was delivered in full and your accusations are unsupported, we are unable to approve any refund. We strongly encourage reviewing the tour details carefully before booking to ensure your expectations align with the itinerary.

    Wine tasting tour

Dejan was a fantastic guide. He showed us the area for several hours and then took us to a great wine tasting with delicious food. It was more than just wine tasting. We enjoyed our day and learned a lot about the history of the area. Highly recommend.

    Relaxing tour

Our guide was excellent and very informative. Nice selection of wines with appetizers of cheese, prosciutto and salame. Beautiful day outside of Trieste.

    Slovenian wine and culture!

Matt was a terrific guide. His Slovenian/Alaskan background, knowledge and experiences informed our tour well. Though the operator forgot to make our wine tasting reservation and consolidated two different tours into one, Matt provided a taste of culture and wine in Slovenia.

Collio: Cividale Del Friuli and Wine Tastings from Trieste: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Trieste.

How much does Collio: Cividale Del Friuli and Wine Tastings from Trieste cost?

    +

Prices start at $161 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Trieste usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Collio: Cividale Del Friuli and Wine Tastings from Trieste take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Trieste is not rushed.

Is Collio: Cividale Del Friuli and Wine Tastings from Trieste worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Trieste, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Collio: Cividale Del Friuli and Wine Tastings from Trieste?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Collio: Cividale Del Friuli and Wine Tastings from Trieste suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Collio: Cividale Del Friuli and Wine Tastings from Trieste?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Trieste can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Trieste and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Collio: Cividale Del Friuli and Wine Tastings from Trieste start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Trieste within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Trieste?

    +

On Outty we rank every Trieste experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Trieste: Unique Food Tour with Local Flavors and Tastings, Prosecco Origins Wine Experience, Private Trieste Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Trieste?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Trieste?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
