Colca Canyon is a...
Colca Canyon is a beautiful place. The scale of it is unreal and photos can't do it justice. The tour was well organized and the guides were great. The 2 lodges we stayed at were comfortable and the food was fresh and filling. This hike is not easy. The trail is mostly loose gravel and fist sized rocks. The elevation is a challenge as well. I'm an active hiker and I'm in good shape but still struggled. Overall it was a great experience and a chance to see a truly magical, isolated part of the world. Please just be prepared for the difficulty.

Amazing Trip to Colca Canton
I had an amazing time hiking Colca Canyon for 3 days. The views were breathtaking, hiking was fun & challenging, food was delicious, and my guide Wilmar was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend! If you have the time, 3 days felt like a good amount of time and you have more time to enjoy afternoons in the canyon. 2 days is quick but efficient if you are on a tight schedule. On a more serious note it can sometimes be stressful as a solo lady traveler and Wilmar made me feel very safe and was nothing but professional.

3 Day Colca Trek
Wilmar was fantastic! He was responsive when booking and extremely knowledgeable on the trail answering our many questions. The trek was wonderfully arranged with great accommodations and food. You can't beat the views on this three day adventure. Would recommend!

Can’t say enough good things about this experience
One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was booking this 3 day trek with Peru Breathtaking Trips. I’m always a little cautious when booking these sort of things myself, but when I met my guide Wilmar I knew I had nothing to worry about. The entire trip was well planned; his experience in trekking, guiding tours, and impressive knowledge of the area really made the experience more worthwhile. He easily assessed how to pace out our trekking based on my abilities and was very helpful and encouraging when I struggled with a bout of altitude sickness, which I think was the only negative to this entire trip. The food I got to try and people I met hosting the lodges and throughout the villages/communities were all amazing and I’ll never forget the kindness and generosity I was shown. I highly recommend this agency and trekking trip if you’re adventuring in Peru!
Response from the operator: Hello, Thanks for writing this wonderful review about the trek. We are happy to know that the whole experince was great for and that you have memories that will last for long.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arequipa.
How much does Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days cost?
+
Prices start at $265 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arequipa usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arequipa is not rushed.
Is Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arequipa, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arequipa can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arequipa and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arequipa within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arequipa?
+
On Outty we rank every Arequipa experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arequipa Rafting on the Chili river free pick-up,snack., 2 Day 1 Night Trek Colca Canyon, Chili River White Water Rafting Adventure with Pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arequipa?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arequipa?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days?
+
Included: Dinner; Cabin in the canyon for 2 nights; Lunch; Entrance ticket of Colca; and In-vehicle air conditioning. Not included: Bottled water; Drinks; and Gratuities. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 2 listed pickup locations in and around Arequipa. Be ready about 360 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.
What languages is Colca Canyon Trekking - 3 Days offered in?
+
