Beautiful scenery, challenging kayak tour- not relaxing.
This kayak tour was difficult. We all had experience kayaking, but the kayaks were heavy plastic and tandem. My son and I paddled together in a tandem and did pretty well for awhile, but paddling against a current is a lot of work. Advanced kayakers only. My friend kayaked alone and had a hard time keeping up with the group. The break at the sandbar was nice and much needed. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgable about aquatic life.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about your guide. We're glad you enjoyed learning about the local aquatic life and appreciated the stop at the sandbar. Our tours do occasionally encounter currents, winds, and changing water conditions, which can make paddling more challenging on some days. While we strive to make the experience enjoyable for paddlers of all skill levels, we understand that conditions can feel more demanding than expected. We appreciate your feedback and are glad your guide helped make the experience a positive one despite the challenge.

Memorable Kayaking Adventure
We had an amazing time kayaking and would absolutely do it again! Our guide, Jayme, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much fascinating information about the local wildlife. As nature enthusiasts, this experience was exactly the kind of adventure we were hoping for. Thank you for such a memorable outing!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you had such an amazing time on the water. Jayme is passionate about sharing the incredible wildlife and natural history of our area, so she'll be delighted to know you enjoyed learning about it. It means a lot to hear that the tour was exactly the adventure you were hoping for. We truly appreciate you joining us and can't wait to welcome you back for another paddle!

We enjoyed kayaking. We...
We enjoyed kayaking. We were disappointed that we didnt really see any wildlife. We really couldnt see anything in our clear kayaks. Water wasnt clear at all. We thought where we launched from could definately be improved. Bathroom was neglected. Our guide was great!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed kayaking and that you had a great experience with your guide. We're sorry the wildlife wasn't as active during your tour. Because we operate in a natural environment, wildlife sightings and water clarity can vary from day to day depending on tides, weather, and other natural conditions. While we always hope for abundant wildlife, we can never guarantee what guests will see. We also appreciate your feedback about the launch area and restroom. We don't own the property, but we do share comments like yours with the property managers, as we want every part of the experience to be as enjoyable as possible. Thank you again for your honest feedback. We hope you'll consider joining us again in the future under different conditions for a completely different experience.

2 thumbs up for Jayme!
Jayme was the best! She was friendly, had a chill vibe and shared fun facts about the area. She was quick to point out stingrays, jumping fish and even caught a hermit crab for us to look at up close! Highly recommend her as your guide!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you had such a great time with Jayme. She has a true passion for sharing the local wildlife and making every tour fun and memorable. We're so glad you got to see stingrays, jumping fish, and even a hermit crab up close! We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to Jayme. Thank you for the recommendation, and we hope to see you back on the water again soon!

It sounds like you had some awesome wildlife sightings with the crabs and stingrays—and yes, kayaking can definitely be a workout! 😄 We'll be sure to share your kind words with Jayme. Thanks for joining us, and we hope to see you back on the water again soon!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Clear Kayak Ecotour Destin Ft. Walton Beach: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Destin.
How much does Clear Kayak Ecotour Destin Ft. Walton Beach cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Destin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Clear Kayak Ecotour Destin Ft. Walton Beach take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Destin is not rushed.
Is Clear Kayak Ecotour Destin Ft. Walton Beach worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 49 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Destin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Clear Kayak Ecotour Destin Ft. Walton Beach?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Clear Kayak Ecotour Destin Ft. Walton Beach suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Clear Kayak Ecotour Destin Ft. Walton Beach?
+
Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Destin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Destin and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Clear Kayak Ecotour Destin Ft. Walton Beach start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Destin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Destin?
+
Destin sells time on the water: pontoon and catamaran charters out of the harbour, dolphin cruises through Choctawhatchee Bay, snorkel trips to Crab Island and deep-sea fishing that leaves before sunrise. On Outty we rank every Destin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Clear Kayaking Eco Adventure Tour in Marianna, Sunset Dolphin Cruise, Top Shelf Tikis Crab Island Adventure 3 hr. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Destin?
+
March to May and September to October, when Gulf water is warm and crowds thin. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Destin?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
