Amazing Pensacola History
Our church group did this tour. We had such a great time, our guide was so informative and enjoyable. This tour is a must see for anyone who enjoys history, which Pensacola is loaded with. We just moved here and to find out Pensacolas part in the Civil War was just incredible. It was hot out but the cold a/c in the bus was a constant reprieve, I score this tour a 5 out of 5 stars, and will surely share with others to take the tour themselves. Thank You Leroy, for a fabulous journey back in history, you will be getting other bookings from our group for other tours offered, and already looking forward to it.

Civil War Tour
Tour guide Leeroy did a good job and was very friendly. The bus ride to the fort and light house was filled with a video that had 80% civil war songs (very boring) and only about 20% educational information. The light house stop should be just five minutes longer. We had only enough time to climb the stairs to the top and back down. No time to read the many plaques available or to visit the museum. Finally, The fort was closed. Very disappointing.

Loved going to the lighthouse at the Naval Air Station (NAS) in Pensacola
Exploring Pensacola as a major factor in the civil war made it come alive as a city with a history! We visited the forts that protected this important port city, the lighthouse, learned the battles that almost spelled the end of this city and so much more. It is done via video onboard with additions and highlights by the driver(s). The only reason this isn't a five star review is that city events made some areas impossible to see even though they were part of the video. Drivers were great with additional information and making everything very comfortable for all participants. Definitely do yourself a favor if you like history and attend this tour.

It was an OK tour, staff was...

It was an OK tour, staff was friendly and polite... the experience was affected by inclement weather which made the Lighthouse not as accessible and Fort Barrancas barely accessible at all... while that was not the fault of the company maybe something could be offered like a discount or raindate voucher

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pensacola.
How much does Civil War Tour of Pensacola cost?

+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pensacola is not rushed.
Is Civil War Tour of Pensacola worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pensacola, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Civil War Tour of Pensacola?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Civil War Tour of Pensacola suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Civil War Tour of Pensacola?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pensacola can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pensacola and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Civil War Tour of Pensacola start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pensacola within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Pensacola?
+
Pensacola sells dolphin cruises, sailing charters on Pensacola Bay, naval aviation history, snorkel trips to the USS Oriskany wreck area and long stretches of quartz-white beach. On Outty we rank every Pensacola experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Shared Dolphin Cruise in Pensacola Beach | Frisky Mermaid, Pensacola Beach Jolly Dolphin Cruise and Scenic Bay Tour, Pensacola Beach Dolphin and Scenic Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Pensacola?
+
April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Pensacola?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Civil War Tour of Pensacola?
+
Included: All taxes, fees and handling charges; Driver/guide; and Live commentary on board. Not included: Gratuities; and Hotel pickup and drop-off. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

+

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Civil War Tour of Pensacola?
+
