Tour guide was great!! ...

Had a good time
Very interesting about the history of Savannah.
Response from the operator: So glad you enjoyed the tour! Thank you for the review!!!

Disappointed
Title is somewhat misleading; even our guide said the Civil War had little effect on Atlanta. Heard all rhe guide had to say in an earlier Historic District Tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the review! We are sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy the tour. It has been our most popular tour since 1994! There were no battles in Savannah Civil War era but there were skirmishes and Sherman did occupy Savannah for 6 weeks. But there is a lot of unintentional fake news when it comes to his burning the South. He only burned two places, Meridian Ms and Columbia SC. Atlanta was burned by the Confederate army before his arrival. If you’re ever back in Savannah, I’ll give the tour myself and I’ll have some complimentary passes for the tour waiting on you.

Best tour I’ve ever been on
This is was by far the best tour I’ve EVER been on! Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the history of Savannah come alive with interesting stories and facts. I learned so much and left with a deeper appreciation for the city. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Savannah, especially if you enjoy history!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you Lolly for such a fine review! Your experience is why we try so hard at what we do!

Lovely Tour
Our guide was full of good historical information and delivered it with enthusiasm and interesting tidbits. However we did stand at our meeting point for 40 minutes prior to starting the walking tour! 😆 I think that portion should have been cut short.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the review! We have found that our American peers are so woefully misinformed in American history that we spend extra time before walking ensuring everyone is up to speed with the basics. It’s even more necessary when delving into the Civil War!

Civil War Savannah!! Guided Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Savannah.
How much does Civil War Savannah!! Guided Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $28 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Savannah usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Civil War Savannah!! Guided Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Savannah is not rushed.
Is Civil War Savannah!! Guided Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 326 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Savannah, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Civil War Savannah!! Guided Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Civil War Savannah!! Guided Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Civil War Savannah!! Guided Walking Tour?
+
Around 114 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Savannah can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Savannah and add a light layer if any part of the 1.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Civil War Savannah!! Guided Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Savannah within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Savannah?
+
Savannah is a walking city with a dense guide market, which means quality spread is wide. Historic district walks, Bonaventure Cemetery trips, trolley hop-on routes and ghost tours with tavern access make up most bookings. Outty Ranking leans on licensed-guide status and group size, since the squares get loud once a tour passes twenty people. On Outty we rank every Savannah experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Savannah Guided Walking Tour, Bonaventure Cemetery Walking Tour with Transportation, Haunted Savannah Booze and Boos Ghost Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Savannah?
+
March to May for azaleas, or October to November for cool evenings. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Savannah?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
