Do not book here! Book through Nessun Dorma
The pesto making experience was excellent. Booking it through Viator was a huge mistake. You can book directly through Nessun Dorma for 80 Euro each. We paid an additional 130 Euro to book through this tour. Do not do it.
Response from the operator: You would not have even been able to attend this activity if you had not booked it here through us. The activity was already fully booked. Fortunately for you, our company has privileged access to join the course even when fully booked. Most people don't stay in the Cinque Terre for a long duration so appreciate the opportunity to experience an event they would not have otherwise been able to do so ! Please also consider that Viator include around 30 % commission in your booking so although you say it was a mistake to book here the alternative is not being able to attend at all ! Apart form the obvious benefit of a guaranteed place, you are also booking with one of the few official licensed tour operators in the Cinque Terre which also includes insurance etc.

Let's Pesto with Simon in Cinque Terra!
Simon, the owner of Let's Pesto! was fabulous. When he realized we were an hour late, he personally set us up and gave us a personal course! It was excellent excellent and we ate our own hand-made pesto sauce! (We were late due to a three-hour train ride and lack of support from Viator.)

Sureal location, wonderful food, and excellent staff.
View was perfection. This is a very popular restaurant that often has several hour waiting times, so if you don't have much time in Manarola this a a great way to guarantee a spot with no waiting. The class was informative and the lunch was delicious. The owner, Simon, teaches the class and is a very wholesome guy with a great story about the place. The other staff members are great and excited to be there. I recognize the class is one of the more expensive options for something like this, but it was worth every cent. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you : )

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cinque Terre.
How much does Cinque Terre Pesto Course Activity with Lunch cost?

How long does Cinque Terre Pesto Course Activity with Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cinque Terre is not rushed.
Is Cinque Terre Pesto Course Activity with Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cinque Terre, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cinque Terre Pesto Course Activity with Lunch?
+

Is Cinque Terre Pesto Course Activity with Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cinque Terre Pesto Course Activity with Lunch?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cinque Terre can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cinque Terre and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Cinque Terre?
+
On Outty we rank every Cinque Terre experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cinque Terre and Pisa Tower Small-Group Day Trip from Florence, Cinque Terre Hybrid Boat Tour from Monterosso, From Florence: Cinque Terre & Pisa Day Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cinque Terre?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cinque Terre?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
