Super day!!!
Beautiful day with the family on Marco's catamaran; the children (6 and 3 years old) had a lot of fun. Excellent food and wine typical of the Cinque Terre. Marco, besides being very knowledgeable, is a very good cook and was very attentive to the children; he made us spend a cheerful day! Highly recommended for families!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Marta! We're really happy that the children were able to experience being on board Vift and had a great time! Knowing that you found our catamaran comfortable and suitable for a family sailing, makes us very proud. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another adventure! Fair winds!

A boat trip in the amazing 5 terre
Wonderful experience with the top guide Marco. The landscape and the sea are amazing. The skipper Marco is a increadibly pleasent person, and he will let you discover curiosities and hidden places of one of the most beautiful places in the world. We enjoied a lot the food too. Typical plates from Liguria that will fullfill all your expectations. Really suggested.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Daniele! We’re very grateful for your words! The satisfaction of our guests is the most precious gift we can receive! We hope to have you again on board of Vift! See you soon and… fair winds!

An experience to repeat
Wonderful day, the catamaran was super comfortable, and Marco was excellent and pampered us all day long. Not to be underestimated is the fact that he also provided us with a parking space inside the yacht club.
Response from the operator: Che bello Nicola! La soddisfazione dei nostri clienti è la cosa che più ci sta a cuore, ma che quando sbarcano siano diventati nuovi amici non ha prezzo! Tornate presto e… buon vento!!

Spectacular experience with a top-notch Skipper and Guide.
The catamaran experience with MARCO went beyond all expectations. Starting with the thoughtfulness with which he came to pick me up at the station, the kindness and the surprise of being welcomed on board with delicious fresh pastries and every type of Ligurian focaccia; the catamaran is a true luxury lounge: very comfortable aft sofas, ease of moving towards the bow - where there are three mattresses for relaxing and sunbathing - due to the presence of safety rails. Well-organized cabins, spotless bathrooms, a large minibar; in short, the first impression was sumptuous. We left the port on August 22; the day before there had been a big storm with 50-knot winds, but fortunately the day was cool, with little wind but long waves, which you feel much less in a catamaran than in a monohull. The beauty of the Gulf and Marco's detailed description of every interesting point made the waves easy to bear, also because even with the mainsail and jib unfurled, the wind was light and therefore the sailing speed was very leisurely. Marco always had the discretion and consideration to ask me and the other guest if the fairly consistent swell was bothering us, so much so that around lunchtime, while we were near the side towards Lerici, we headed for the channel between the mainland and the island of Tino, where the spectacle of the view of Portovenere, in the calm waters and with the sight of the island's beautiful greenery, was something unforgettable. I want to emphasize that Marco has such experience and calmness in handling the navigation that he never made us lift a finger, which, by the way, even if you are a guest or client on a sailboat, is completely normal, perhaps to extend a line or simply retrieve a bottle of wine, doing it independently :) With Marco, not even that! He served us drinks and food. The other guest even tried the experience with the SUP provided on the catamaran, while I took a refreshing swim in front of Portovenere, and returning on board, the fresh water shower right at the stern was very welcome. Finally, I would like to highlight his friendliness, his empathetic ability to connect with people, his ability to understand their needs, and his availability combined with a patience and calmness that make him an exceptional skipper whom I highly recommend to everyone.
Response from the operator: Federico, grazie! Che fantastico diario di bordo! È stato davvero un piacere averti a bordo di Vift e sapere di averti fatto vivere una così piacevole giornata! Speriamo di ripetere quanto prima una nuova navigazione insieme! A presto e… buon vento!

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cinque Terre and Gulf of Poets Private Catamaran Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Spezia.
How much does Cinque Terre and Gulf of Poets Private Catamaran Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $1,541 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Spezia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cinque Terre and Gulf of Poets Private Catamaran Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Spezia is not rushed.
Is Cinque Terre and Gulf of Poets Private Catamaran Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Spezia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cinque Terre and Gulf of Poets Private Catamaran Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cinque Terre and Gulf of Poets Private Catamaran Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cinque Terre and Gulf of Poets Private Catamaran Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Spezia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Spezia and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cinque Terre and Gulf of Poets Private Catamaran Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Spezia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in La Spezia?
+
On Outty we rank every La Spezia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include La Spezia: Taste Cinque Terre on a Food Tour by Do Eat Better, Cinque Terre Sunset Boat Tour Experience with Aperitivo and Swim, Cinque Terre Sunset Boat Tour : golden hour on the water. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit La Spezia?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in La Spezia?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
