Unengaging and logistically poor
I’m a foodie and love exploring local restaurants when I travel, so I was excited for this tour. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The tour itself was slow-paced, and much of the commentary wasn’t especially engaging. It also seemed geared more toward locals than visitors, which left several people in our group wondering whether the participating businesses were being fairly compensated for the samples or were mainly hoping tour guests would return later as paying customers. The highlights were the samples themselves and hearing directly from the business owners and employees. They were welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. The specific businesses/food samples aren’t shared at the beginning of the tour, and the portions are very small, so do not expect this to replace a meal. The overall organization could have been much better. The tour ran far longer than necessary (60 minutes for 3 stops within about a 5-minute walking distance) and we were repeatedly told we were running ahead of schedule and too early for the next stop. As a result, we spent a lot of time standing around while the guide moved us from inside to outside and back again, often in crowded walkways and doorways, while trying to come up with additional content to fill the time. We also began the tour standing in direct, blazing sun for a lengthy introduction, when a shaded or indoor location would have made for a much more comfortable start. Several participants ended up leaving the tour early because they were bored, unsure where we were going next, or wanted to buy an actual lunch. Overall, I’d recommend skipping the tour and spending your time exploring these businesses on your own.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry you were disappointed with your experience. This was a customized one-hour tour created for a private 45-person motorcoach group to fit its travel itinerary. To provide a more personal experience, we divided the group into three smaller groups that rotated through the same three merchants. Because each stop was scheduled, there were a few occasions where guides needed to adjust the pace between visits. We're glad you enjoyed meeting the business owners and sampling their products. All participating merchants are compensated for the samples they provide. Our signature Findlay Market Food Tour is a 90-minute experience with five tasting stops. This private version was intentionally shortened to one hour and three stops to accommodate the group's schedule. We appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind as we continue to improve our tours.

Anne Snider was our tour...
Anne Snider was our tour guide and she was amazing! Loved hearing history and she had information about each place we stopped in for tastings. All food and drink on tour was great and tasted things I would not have on my own.
Response from the operator: I love having Anne on my team. She has a great way of making history come alive. And Findlay Market has such a great story to tell. Glad you enjoyed your time with her. Thanks for choosing Cincinnati Food Tours!

Great Time!
We had a great time, and our tour guide was fabulous. We tried some foods and places that we would not have normally gone to, and loved them. Highly recommend it!
Response from the operator: Always nice to try something new. Thanks so much for joining us!

Fun, Educational and Delicious day at Findlay Market
Very good tour guide. Also liked all the vendors samples we enjoyed and their personal stories. It was very busy at the market that day, maybe have a better plan as to where to gather together, especially for the beginning history lesson ..or maybe just a better how, within the busy-ness of market customers. But overall the tour was very well done.
Response from the operator: I appreciate your suggestions, and you’re right about our initial gathering place. We are hoping for warmer weather soon so we can step outside those entry doors and present the introduction in a more secluded spot. I’m glad you enjoyed the overall experience. And thank you for the nudge to keep fine tuning our experience.

Fun, informative and delicious
The food tastings were delicious, and it was really cool that the shop owners all spent time with us to share their stories. Our guide, Linnea, was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a very nice time.
Response from the operator: We think our Findlay Market shop owners are the best. So glad you enjoyed your time with Linnea!

Cincinnati's Original Findlay Market Tour With Tastings: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cincinnati.
How much does Cincinnati's Original Findlay Market Tour With Tastings cost?
+
Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cincinnati usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cincinnati's Original Findlay Market Tour With Tastings take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cincinnati is not rushed.
Is Cincinnati's Original Findlay Market Tour With Tastings worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 36 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cincinnati, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cincinnati's Original Findlay Market Tour With Tastings?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cincinnati's Original Findlay Market Tour With Tastings suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cincinnati's Original Findlay Market Tour With Tastings?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cincinnati can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cincinnati and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cincinnati's Original Findlay Market Tour With Tastings start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cincinnati within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cincinnati?
+
Cincinnati tours cover Over-the-Rhine architecture and food, brewery heritage and lagering tunnels, Ohio River sightseeing cruises and Underground Railroad Freedom Center visits. On Outty we rank every Cincinnati experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hidden Brewery Caverns Tour in Cincinnati with Beer Tasting, Ultimate Queen City Underground Tour, Top 10 Sites + Bites of Cincinnati Tour with Riverside Food Tours. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cincinnati?
+
April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cincinnati?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
