Beautiful music in a beautiful setting.

The concert was fabulous. It was held in a special small room at the palace that accommodated the sound of the singers and musicians. There were a limited number of guests there, which created a small, intimate setting. Seemingly a very private setting. Prior to the performance, we ate at the Christmas market outside the palace. Very good. In all a perfect event to begin my vacation and Christmas week.

    Beautiful venue

The venue itself was beautiful, and the performance was good. This was our third performance in Vienna, so we had other experiences for comparison. Unfortunately, the seating was disappointing. When we purchased our tickets, we did not realize our seats were located near the back. While we could hear the performance, our view was extremely limited. Additionally, during the second act, staff in the lobby began clearing wine glasses, creating significant noise that disrupted the experience. Considering the price we paid, the overall value was not satisfactory. The other performances we attended in Vienna were Exceptional and more affordable

    Wonderful music and...

Wonderful music and experience. It’s not in the palace but the Orangerie was still beautiful. The musicians were incredible - would highly recommend.

    A nice evening

It was a nice experience. My fault i didn't realize the Orangery is not the main palace but a little small performance hall seats a few hundred. It was again nice and cozy but I had talked myself into a full theater experience

Response from the operator: Dear Thomas, thank you very much for the comments. As you mentioned, the Orangerie is not inside of the palace building, but it belongs to Schönbrunn. It is a very magical place, since even Mozart used to perform in this location. Thank you so much for visiting us!

    What’s Included

Way overpriced! The concert itself was wonderful but the rest of the “includeds” were nothing! No directions about where to pick up tickets as the Orangery is not well marked, no directions as to where to find the food stand and “meeting time” to me implies that someone will be there to answer questions but there was no one. This is the first time Viator has disappointed but I will be more cautious in the future.

Response from the operator: First of all, thank you for your feedback, we appreciate that! We are very sorry that you couldn't find your way and didn't receive any information about it. That shouldn't have happened. Didn't our colleagues at the orangery give you any directions to the food stand at the Christmas market? Thank you for the information, and we wish you happy holidays 🎄

Christmas at Schönbrunn Palace Vienna: Classical Concert and Christmas Market: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vienna.

How much does Christmas at Schönbrunn Palace Vienna: Classical Concert and Christmas Market cost?

    +

Prices start at $84 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vienna usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Christmas at Schönbrunn Palace Vienna: Classical Concert and Christmas Market take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vienna is not rushed.

Is Christmas at Schönbrunn Palace Vienna: Classical Concert and Christmas Market worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 45 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vienna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Christmas at Schönbrunn Palace Vienna: Classical Concert and Christmas Market?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Christmas at Schönbrunn Palace Vienna: Classical Concert and Christmas Market suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Christmas at Schönbrunn Palace Vienna: Classical Concert and Christmas Market?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vienna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vienna and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Christmas at Schönbrunn Palace Vienna: Classical Concert and Christmas Market start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vienna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Vienna?

    +

On Outty we rank every Vienna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Authentic Vienna Food Tour inc. lunch, street food, 3 drinks, Vienna Food Tour: Coffeehouses, Markets, Lunch & Street Food, Budapest Small-Group Day Trip from Vienna. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Vienna?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Vienna?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
