Complete disaster and total waste of money – missed the entire drone show!
Do NOT book this tour if your goal is to see the Saturday drone show. We were picked up from our hotel at 7:00 PM. Instead of taking us to the pier, the bus drove to the other side of the city to pick up other guests. Once there, the driver announced he had run out of driving hours and had to take a mandatory 30-minute break. This level of poor planning and incompetence is unacceptable. The ultimate irony? The cruise pier was literally a 5-minute walk from our original hotel. Instead of walking there, we were dragged around the city for 1.5 hours in traffic. Because of this delay, we arrived far too late. The drone show started at 8:30 PM, but boarding didn’t even begin until 8:35 PM. The show finished at 8:45 PM, while people were still waiting in line to get on the ship until 8:50 PM. We refused to board because the main highlight of the tour—watching the drone show from the water—was completely over before we could even step foot on the boat. Complete failure of organization, wasted our entire evening, and ruined the experience. Avoid at all costs!

The driver’s mandatory rest stop mid‑journey and detours to collect other guests resulted in lengthy traffic delays. Boarding was pushed back, and ultimately you missed the drone show — the main highlight of your booking — wasting your precious evening. This was entirely due to failures in our scheduling and route management, and we offer no excuses. Heavy traffic around Hongyadong and Chaotianmen on Saturdays is a known challenge for Chongqing night cruises, but this cannot justify our breakdown in service. Upon receiving your review, we have immediately launched reforms to our transfer procedures for all Saturday drone‑show bookings: 1. We will redesign pickup sequences to prioritize guests booked for the drone show and reduce long detours. 2. We will calculate driving durations in advance and build in buffer time for the driver’s mandatory rest, so unscheduled stops will no longer delay itineraries. 3. We will set earlier required arrival times at the pier to reserve sufficient contingency time for traffic congestion. 4. We will send advance reminders to all guests booking Saturday drone‑show cruises. For those staying close to the pier, we will suggest travelling there independently to avoid downtown evening rush‑hour traffic.
