Tasty Team-Workshop
The course location was easy to find, and we were even sent a photo of the venue in advance. All communication beforehand was pleasant and professional. The course itself was informative and enjoyed by all our colleagues. The lady who led the cooking class was very friendly and made a great effort. We were all able to make 2-3 Baumkuchen and take them home with us. Some background music might have been nice to make the atmosphere more relaxed.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! I'm really happy to hear that you and your colleagues enjoyed the Chimney Cake Baking Class in Budapest and had fun learning about this traditional Hungarian dessert together. It was such a pleasure hosting your team and seeing everyone create their own delicious Chimney Cake (kürtőskalács) to take home!

Fantastic Culinary Experience
Amazing experience! We had high expectations for our baking/pastry class since my husband is from Hungarian heritage and we wanted to learn how to make some family favorites (Dobos torte, Langos & apple strudel). It was the highlight of our trip! Marti was such fun and a great teacher!
Response from the operator: Dear Jean, Thank you for the kind words! I am really glad you enjoyed the baking/dessert class.

Fabulous Experience!
The entire experience was a highlight of our trip. Marti was so organized and hospitable we loved our time with her learning about Hungary and experiencing foods and making some delicious desserts too! We’ve made the recipes at home and they work wonderfully.

Hungarian Baking with Chef Marti
Chef Marti is an inspiring chef and a fantastic teacher. We spent four hours with her making traditional Langos, Strudel and Dobos cake, and we feel we will be able to make these delicious treats at home with her recipes. The atmosphere was really fun and relaxed. Her English was clear and precise. You will have a great experience with her.
Response from the operator: Dear Peter, Jeannie and Livia, Thanks lot for your kind review, it makes me really happy. Thanks for coming and baking with me. You are a very nice family. I am glad that I had the chance to get to know you a bit. I hope we will meet again in the future.

Baking with my old mum
Marti was amazing a joy/pleasure to spend 4 hours with. Thank you, Marti. I did not have to mention the baking as both my old mum and I loved it!

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chimney Cake Making Class – More Flavors & Unlimited Drinks: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Budapest.
How much does Chimney Cake Making Class – More Flavors & Unlimited Drinks cost?
+
Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Budapest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chimney Cake Making Class – More Flavors & Unlimited Drinks take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Budapest is not rushed.
Is Chimney Cake Making Class – More Flavors & Unlimited Drinks worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Budapest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chimney Cake Making Class – More Flavors & Unlimited Drinks?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chimney Cake Making Class – More Flavors & Unlimited Drinks suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chimney Cake Making Class – More Flavors & Unlimited Drinks?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Budapest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Budapest and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chimney Cake Making Class – More Flavors & Unlimited Drinks start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Budapest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Budapest?
+
On Outty we rank every Budapest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Budapest City Landmarks Walking Tour in 2 Hours, Countryside Half-day Gastro-Wine Tour from Budapest Meal & pickup, Budapest free walking tour: Parliament and Shoes Memorial. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Budapest?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Budapest?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
