Perfect way to spend a few hours on the water
We wanted to go sailing while we were in Barcelona but given we would be there in mid October we decided to wait until the week we arrived to book it so we could see what the weather would be. It was an excellent decision as the weather was perfect and unseasonably warm. Looking at the other excursions, I wasn't finding what I wanted. An hour or two with a big packed boat with loud music didn't sound enjoyable. For not much more, we got three full hours alone on our own boat with a skipper. It was perfect. Victor was our skipper and he was great. Very nice and charismatic. He answered all of our questions and gave us a lot of information about the city. While the weather was warm we didn't have any wind so we just motored up the coast. It felt more like hanging out with friends than a tour. It was great. At one point we stopped to swim and the water was perfectly cool and refreshing but warm enough to stay in all day. It was very clear also. Victor played music and provided us with a bottle of sparkling wine. While we were stopped, we saw a few America's cup boats that Victor pointed out which was a nice added perk. The only thing to note is to bring your own towels if you decide to swim. Other than that, the boats are very clean and in great shape, with a bathroom below and a shower hose on the back to rinse the salt off. We had such a great time that I wouldn't hesitate to do it again next time, but possibly for longer.

Could be the BEST view of the city you'll get!
A wonderful afternoon, in a clean sailboat, with a wonderful captain (Nico) made a perfect water outing to see city and the sea! A private outing for five, we were treated to 3 hours of serene sea sailing and sipping, as a bottle of Cava is included. Our captain was capable, charming and informative, giving an informal tour of the shoreline and Barcelona skyline. And be able to take the helm for a while was an added treat for those with a feel for the wind & water... Everything was safe and relaxing and professional - treat yourself to this very satisfying excursion!

This was a beautiful 3 hours along the coast of Barcelona. They were so accommodating to help get my elderly father into the sail boat, worked perfectly! The weather was beautiful and we loved the views.

That tour was great. However, in your important remarks it said to wear white sole shoes and no sandals. So we went to buy shoes for the sailing tour. We realized on the boat that it was not necessary and Americans with us wore black shoes and sandals! Otherwise, everything was perfect.

A very pleasant and enjoyable cruise. The captain allowed us to get involved in raising the sails and directing the vessel. Excellent views of Barcelona from the sea and time well spent.

Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chill Out Sailing from Barcelona - Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Chill Out Sailing from Barcelona - Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $350 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chill Out Sailing from Barcelona - Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Chill Out Sailing from Barcelona - Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chill Out Sailing from Barcelona - Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chill Out Sailing from Barcelona - Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chill Out Sailing from Barcelona - Private Tour?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chill Out Sailing from Barcelona - Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
