Admirable Temples
Since we live 6 months a year in Hua hin and travel a lot, it is not preo 1 with temples it has been seen to lead but these are both really extra everything, Especially white temple that is built by a private person who is also an artist, he has put enormous money on this and his gallery which you should not go past very worth seeing.

Horrible experience
I received a confirmation email providing a 30 minutes range for pickup (7:20-7:50) alas asking us to be ready a few minutes before and also enable them an up to 30 minutes delay, practically meaning over an hour waiting gap. It would have been sensible to call 10 minutes before the pick up. I wrote them to ask for more specific pick up time but got no response. 15 minutes after the pickup range I wrote to verify their status and they finally responded the driver is on the way. When I called at 8:20 they said they’ll check, and then sent me a picture of a flat tire claiming the tour ‘might be canceled’. I called and they shared they were not sending another car. When I asked about the other passengers, they mentioned they already left and when I insisted about alternatives they said it’s too late for that. Refund was immediate. I would never contact them again.

Overall Not a Bad Tour
The architecture and details of the White Temple were amazing with some good paintings on display. The place has been well maintained and has an organized route for tourist to walk from one end to the other. The blue temple looks old and not that well maintained… but still a great place for some good photography… There isn’t really anything of interest at the Black House Museum, only the main house has some features and displays. The place is not being maintained well at all with clear signs of deterioration. I was actually not impressed with the Karen Tribe tour as they are being placed and used as display for tourists…especially the children being dressed up with make up for people to take photographs… The two guys collecting entrance fee (without any record or receipt) were behaving more like gangster…
Response from the operator: Hello ! We’re so grateful that you took the time to share your feedback with us. It’s our pleasure to serve customers like you. Have a wonderful day! Kind Regards, Thailand Tours team

Not like the itinerary states
Was not like the itinerary at all! You spend 20 mins in a car park next to hot springs , 30 mins at the blue temple and 40 at the museum. NOT an hour for each. NO gardens for the hot springs. It’s not really enough time to see them. We booked not to see the long necks and they took us there anyway which wasted 1.5 hours that could have been spent seeing what we actually PAID for. After messaging the tour agency highlighting this , they seemed to think there was no issue with it .
Response from the operator: Hello I am sorry that you are not happy enough for this tour. But first you need to understand that we clearly state that this is a join-in trip. which means "Shared with others" some customer they want to see the long neck so we have to bring them there, and the itinerary is all the same as we state where we will stop at and you did stop on every spot that we mentioned on this tour, but sometimes the timing can might be change. Depending on many factors, the driver and guide will decide the most appropriate time as Chiangmai and Chiangrai take time 3-4 hours in one way just for driving. And please note that we do take every review and feedback seriously. as this have an effect to our business. so surely we must be serious. But what you are asking us is a free tour.... don't you think this is quite totally unfair? You did join this tour from start and we have cost for your transfer, lunch, your admission fees, and all other thing. we are so sorry that we can't accept and give you for this free tour. hope you can really understand Best regards, Thailand Tours Team

Chiangmai to White Temple, Blue Temple & Black museum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Chiangmai to White Temple, Blue Temple & Black museum cost?
+
Prices start at $1356 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chiangmai to White Temple, Blue Temple & Black museum take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Chiangmai to White Temple, Blue Temple & Black museum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chiangmai to White Temple, Blue Temple & Black museum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chiangmai to White Temple, Blue Temple & Black museum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chiangmai to White Temple, Blue Temple & Black museum?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chiangmai to White Temple, Blue Temple & Black museum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
