Half day iconic temples tour ( 3 1/2 hours )
We were picked up promptly from our hotel and luckily for us we were the only ones on the trip. The minivan was comfortable with a/c and water Arrow, our tour guide and Shavoy our driver were excellent. We had three stops and Arrow gave us lots of information about the temples, history and facts relating to the tour.It was the perfect start to our stay in Chaing Mai
Response from the operator: Dear Daniel, Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that your visit to the iconic temples was the 'perfect start' to your stay in Chiang Mai. It is great to know that you found the minivan comfortable and that our team, Arrow and Shavoy, took such good care of you. We take great pride in providing not just a ride, but a deep dive into the history and facts that make these temples so special. I will be sure to pass along your kind words to both of them—they will be delighted to know they made your trip memorable! We hope you enjoy the rest of your time exploring the beauty of the North. Great chance to see three...
Great chance to see three temples in and out of the city with a very knowledgeable local guide Mr Peo.

Canceled at last minute
I was disappointed that the Tour operator canceled disappointment at the last minute. We did not get a chance to go on the tour. They did communicate well, so that’s why they get a three star rating, but I can’t give them any higher than that as they canceled on the last minute
Response from the operator: Dear Ritchie, Thank you for your email. I’d like to provide a bit more context regarding your booking. You made the reservation at 8:44am for an afternoon departure, and as this was a manual confirmation, we first needed to check availability due to the last-minute nature of the request. Please note, we did not cancel your booking. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure a guide on such short notice, as all guides had been booked days in advance. You also asked us to recommend another tour, but again, availability was limited for the same reason. I hope you understand the situation, and please rest assured that you were not charged for this service. Thanks, Paul

Temples in Chiang Mai
Very nice guy, helpful and energetic. However he's English was not the greatest. We encountered many guides in Thailand prior and this young man, in spite of being very helpful, probably needs a bit more practice
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback! 🌟 We're glad to hear that you found your guide to be helpful, energetic, and kind during your Chiang Mai City & Temples Tour. We appreciate your honest input about the language skills, and we will certainly take this into account to ensure continuous improvement in our guides' training. Your comments help us enhance the experience for future guests, and we truly appreciate your support. We hope to welcome you again for another wonderful journey in Thailand! 🇹🇭✨ Thanks, Nick (IAsia Thailand Online)

Great tour of temples
Van was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and spoke English well. I felt like we hit all the key temples in the area (obviously can’t see them all!).
Response from the operator: Hello Kevin, Thank you for your feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that Van provided an excellent experience with his knowledge and great English skills. It’s wonderful to know you felt the tour covered the key temples in the area. While it’s impossible to see them all in one trip, we’re glad you enjoyed the highlights. We hope to welcome you back for more discoveries in Chiang Mai! Thanks Nick (IAsia Thailand Online)

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chiang Mai Iconic Temples and City Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Chiang Mai Iconic Temples and City Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chiang Mai Iconic Temples and City Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Chiang Mai Iconic Temples and City Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chiang Mai Iconic Temples and City Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chiang Mai Iconic Temples and City Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chiang Mai Iconic Temples and City Tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chiang Mai Iconic Temples and City Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
