Excellent service
Our driver was waiting at arrivals as expected and walked dus to his van. Brhe van was clean and comfortable. The driver was kind and asked questions. It's nice to be "taken care of" after a long plane journey and arriving close to midnight. More expensive than a taxi, but when travelling as a family, it's nice to just have someone pick you up. Thank you!
Response from the operator: Dear Dyana, Thank you very much for your kind review and for choosing our Chiang Mai Airport Transfer service 😊 We’re delighted to hear that your driver was waiting as expected and that you found the van clean, comfortable, and the service caring—especially after a long journey and a late-night arrival. Providing a smooth, stress-free pickup so our guests feel looked after is exactly what we aim for, particularly for families. We truly appreciate your understanding of the value of convenience and comfort, and we’re glad we could help make your arrival easier. Thank you again, and we hope to welcome you back on your next trip to Thailand! Thanks, Nick (IAsia Thailand Online)

Disappointed in the service.
We have travelled around the world and this was easily the poorest service we have ever received from a transportation company. The driver did not lift a finger to help load the luggage. It was a literal staring contest at curbside as our party of six waited for him to load the bags. The men finally stepped in because it had been a full day of travel and we were ready to get to the hotel. And you guessed it, upon arrival at the hotel, he popped the hatch and found reason to step aside as we unloaded and passed the baggage to the hotel staff. He did get us there in one piece, hence the two stars, but it was a zero effort transport. The first of this kind that any of our groups of seasoned travelers has ever experienced. We gladly gave his tip to the hotel staff who eagerly assisted us and made up for our driver’s complete lack of service or assistance. Hopefully this is isolated to our particular driver, but this was our experience. We are hoping for a different driver and outcome on our return to the airport since we prepaid for both trips.
Response from the operator: Dear IUSLYWN, Thanks for your review and I am thrilled you have travelled all over the world. However not every country is the same. Your main complaint is that the driver did not carry your luggage? I am sorry to hear that but did you mention this to him or call the office after? We do not have any record. We have never advertised that we will carry your luggage for you just to make this clear. For the arrival into the hotel, the bell boys will come to the vehicle and unload your cases and walk to reception and then to your room. We would be grateful if you can say something on the day to help minimise complaints. Thanks, Paul

Great value for money airport transfer
I made a reservation while looking for a way to get from Chiang Mai Airport to town and I highly recommend it. The guide was waiting right where she said she would be and the driver took us to the Dusit quickly and professionally.

One hour delay
We booked 2 vans for max 6 people each. Only one van came, took 6 to the airport then turned around for the next 5. This resulted in waiting one hour for the entire group.
Response from the operator: Dear Bernadita, Thank you for your review and after checking we found out that you booked a RETURN Transfer. This is one van for arrival and departure. Not sure why you thought that you would have 2 at the same time? Please see the PROOF here https://paste.pics/QBL0F All I can guess is that you booked another van with another company BUT we did give you exactly what you paid for. Thanks, Nick

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chiang Mai Airport Transfer by Private Van – Arrival or Departure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Chiang Mai Airport Transfer by Private Van – Arrival or Departure cost?
+
Prices start at $1700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chiang Mai Airport Transfer by Private Van – Arrival or Departure take?
+
Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is Chiang Mai Airport Transfer by Private Van – Arrival or Departure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chiang Mai Airport Transfer by Private Van – Arrival or Departure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chiang Mai Airport Transfer by Private Van – Arrival or Departure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chiang Mai Airport Transfer by Private Van – Arrival or Departure?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chiang Mai Airport Transfer by Private Van – Arrival or Departure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
