Discover Saigon's Best Foodie Locations on this VIP Immersive Tour Experience A Chef’s Tour is an experience held dear to our hearts. With backgrounds as cooks, we grew up looking up to the great Chefs of our times. You don’t have to be a chef or professional cook to book and enjoy this experience. You will need to be a real foodie though excited to try most anything as long as it’s delicious! This experience is bookable for a minimum of 2 people. This is a unique and memorable private tour experience catered for your tastes. We have an idea of the dishes and vendors we might like to try that night, but we decide to change the tour and route after meeting the customer and getting to know them. Depending on the types of dishes and the requests that have been made this tour will normally stop at 7-10 vendors during the tour. We have taken out foodies, professional chefs, and market researchers who were looking to gain as much knowledge as possible about the tastes and variety of Vietnamese food in the short amount of time they are here.

Best food tour experience ever
What an experience this was. It is an amazing way to see Saigon and the team was so friendly and outgoing. They brought us to 7 different restaurants as part of the Chef’s tour and places we wouldn’t have gone without their guidance. They brought us to all local establishments that weren’t overrun by other food tours. We ate with locals and go the full experience of what is was like to live in Ho Chi Mihn, including an amazing experience on the back of the scooters. It was the highlight of our trip to Vietnam and we felt extremely safe the whole time. 10/10 recommend.

Delicious Vietnamese Strret Food
So happy that I did the private chefs tour. I highly recommend for people who are new to vietnamese cuisine and its also tailored to your likes and dislikes. Our 2 guides Hoa and Hien were very entertaining. They have a great sense of humor, professional and very knowledgeable on every dish that your out to try. They are sweet always smiling and very happy on what they do makes you comfortable like part of a family and helps explain certain dishes if you feel intimidated. The photographer that took our pictures I hope it am remembering his name correctly Thuan. He sends you the pictures after the end of tour. He has great connections with all the chefs and knew exactly the types of food I requested. He is the kindest sweetest man you can see his enjoyment and the passion of good Vietnamese cuisine. Husband and I were so fulll after our 7th stop that we couldn't finished the other stop. Definitely you have to come very hungry and recommend to not eat at least 3 to 4 hours before the food tour. It is the best I just wished I was not so full would of at least tried to complete it all. All the food is so delicious it was very difficult to just have only favorite. Will definitely recommend to friends and family if they are every visiting Ho Chi Minh. We will defintely return and probably have to not eat the entire day because it was alot of deliciousness. So sad its over did not want to leave but so full that I couldn't breath.

Private Food Tour of Ho Chi Minh City
This is a MUST do when exploring Ho Chi Minh! We did a private night food tour and it was amazing. Nhung and Quyen were so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We went to at least 8 different food stops which were all authentic Vietnamese and tried something different at every place. The tour took us to different districts via scooter so we got to see so much of the city this way. We cannot fault any part of the tour!!!

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Chefs Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ho Chi Minh City.
How much does Chefs Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ho Chi Minh City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Chefs Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ho Chi Minh City is not rushed.
Is Chefs Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ho Chi Minh City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Chefs Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Chefs Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Chefs Tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ho Chi Minh City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Chefs Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ho Chi Minh City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
On Outty we rank every Ho Chi Minh City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Adventure Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour From HCM, Cu Chi Tunnels Small-Group Tour: Vietnam War Underground Network, Cu Chi underground tour - Learn Vietnam war with others. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ho Chi Minh City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
