    Animal lovers

Bill Jean, our tour guide, was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly engaging. He was patient, genuinely enjoyed conversing with us, and provided great insight into the history and culture throughout the experience. The cheetah encounter was absolutely incredible—truly the highlight of the day, especially for our little girl whose favorite animal is the cheetah. The staff were exceptional, so knowledgeable and able to answer every question with ease. The giraffe house was another wonderful experience. Although we didn’t get the chance to feed them, being able to see these beautiful animals up close was unforgettable. We ended the day with a wine tasting at a stunning winery. What made it even more special was that they offered a kiddie tasting as well, complete with sparkling juice and a cheese board, which our daughter loved. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves animals and enjoys a great wine experience!

Response from the operator: dear customer we are truly delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your tour in Pleiades du cape town! it means elot to us that your experience was memorable and fulfilling hosting you was an absolute pleasure, and we cant wait to welcome you again for another time in cape town. my regards pleiades du cape town teams

It was nice, but dont know we got the full value

Our driver made contact with us the day before to confirm pick up time and location. We did have a personal guide, which was great. He was very friendly and answered any questions to the best of his knowledge. Our drive was approximately 45 mins to the Giraffe House. If you want to feed them, I would recommend to let them know ahead of time. We didn't have enough time. It was more of a self guide tour through the Giraffe house. It would have been nice to know more about the animals. If you do the feeding you will get more information. The Cheetah encounter was great we got in the cage with one. We got to pet him and someone took our pictures with our own camera.

Response from the operator: Dear Kim, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are happy to hear that you found the driver friendly and knowledgeable, and that you enjoyed the cheetah encounter experience. We appreciate your comments regarding the time at the Giraffe House and the information about the animals. Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we will certainly review this with our team to see how we can improve the experience and provide clearer information in advance. We are glad you still had a great moment with the cheetah encounter and that you were able to take photos and enjoy the interaction. Thank you again for choosing our tour, and we hope to welcome you again in Cape Town for an even better experience in the future. Kind regards, Management

    Fantastic day out

We went on the tour with Leon from Pleiades du cape town, through viator. We were picked up at our hotel on time and went to the giraffe sanctuary which was informative and a great way to see the giraffes and other animals. We went onto a wine tasting which was in a beautiful setting. We moved onto the cheetah tour which was truly amazing. We then had one of the best steak lunches we have had since being in Cape Town. Leon was friendly and informative and a safe driver we had a fantastic day in his company 😀

Response from the operator: dear valued customer thanks you so much for your wonderful review! We are truly happy to hear that you had a great experience with us. Your kind words really motivate our team to continue giving our best service. We appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you again very soon.

Amazing experience with a beautiful cheetah

The day started with wine tasting at Spier winery in Stellenbosch where the views were spectacular and the wines excellent. Then we visited the cheetah outreach experience where we were allowed to stroke a gorgeous male cheetah and have our photos taken with him A lunch stop followed and then we went to the Giraffe house where a variety of animals and snakes are found. Our guide and driver for the day was Leon who did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the animals and also South Africa in general. We learned a lot about Cape Town and the surrounding area from him

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the kind words! We really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. It means a lot to our team, and we’re so glad you had a great experience. Hope to see you again soon! in cape town

Cheetahs Encounter Giraffe house Wine tasting private tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does Cheetahs Encounter Giraffe house Wine tasting private tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $2200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cheetahs Encounter Giraffe house Wine tasting private tour take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.

Is Cheetahs Encounter Giraffe house Wine tasting private tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cheetahs Encounter Giraffe house Wine tasting private tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cheetahs Encounter Giraffe house Wine tasting private tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cheetahs Encounter Giraffe house Wine tasting private tour?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cheetahs Encounter Giraffe house Wine tasting private tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
