More than just a tour- a personalized experience with Chris!

We had the most amazing day with Chris! Before our tour, we realized that trying to fit Bern, Gruyères, and cheese, chocolate, and wine tastings into a single day from Lucerne would be too much. Chris worked with us to create the perfect itinerary, making sure we got the most out of every stop without ever feeling rushed. From the moment we met him, Chris was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. He kept us laughing, shared fascinating history and local insights, and went out of his way to get to know each of us. It never felt like we were just another group—he took the time to understand what we were most interested in and tailored the day accordingly. We loved exploring Bern on foot, enjoyed a wonderful lunch, and even got lucky enough to see the famous bears. The visit to Gruyères was unforgettable, and the cheese and chocolate experiences were great additions to our wonderful trip to Switzerland. Chris didn’t just show us Switzerland—he helped us experience it. Spending the day with him felt more like exploring with a knowledgeable friend than taking a guided tour. If you’re considering a tour with TST, don’t hesitate to book with Chris. It was one of the absolute highlights of our vacation, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Amazing tour of Bern and Emmental!

Chris was one of the most excellent and entertaining individuals you can meet. Always carried a conversation and was very attentive to our needs. As far as the trip to Bern, and Emmental, it was wonderful. Love that Kambly Biscuit store. Chris also went out of his way to take us to a small cheese farm and monument hill in the countryside. All in all, it was a fantastic day and we could not have asked for a better tour guide than Chris.

A day to remember.

We had a great day with Chris. He was able to fit everything we wanted to do into the day. Our wine tasting was fabulous and you can't beat the wonderful Swiss cheese and chocolates.

Road trip with a side trip to my family’s roots.

Chris Wilson provided a road trip that exceeded our expectations. Chris was extremely pleasant, great conversationalist and a really nice guy. Picked us up in Lucern, gave a great tour of Bern, then on to Bulle and Broc for tours of Gruyère cheese and Cailler chocolate. Chris went overboard as he consented to help locate my family’s relatives in the Diemtigtal valley. We feel very fortunate to have found someone of such excellent character as Chris.

How much does Cheese, Chocolate and Wine in the Bern Region from Luzern cost?

How long does Cheese, Chocolate and Wine in the Bern Region from Luzern take?

+

Is Cheese, Chocolate and Wine in the Bern Region from Luzern worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lucerne, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

+

Is Cheese, Chocolate and Wine in the Bern Region from Luzern suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Cheese, Chocolate and Wine in the Bern Region from Luzern?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lucerne can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lucerne and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

What are the best things to do in Lucerne?

+

On Outty we rank every Lucerne experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jungfraujoch Top of Europe Day Trip from Lucerne, Lucerne Walking & Boat Tour: The Best Swiss Experience, Mount Pilatus Summit from Lucerne With Lake Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lucerne?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lucerne?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
