The tour begins at 06:00 hs., when the minibus picks you up at your accommodation in El Calafate. You will continue the journey to Laguna Capri. There you have lunch before continuing the descent to El Chaltén. We will continue the journey with one of the guides through the area of Camp Poincenot Base, cross the bridge over the White River, and from there it begins to gain height quickly. In total there are about 430 meters of elevation for almost 3 km. until reaching the climax: the Lagoon of the Three. The group arrives at a morene ridge from where it can be seen in all its glory the Fitz Roy massif and at its feet the Lagoon and Glacier of the Three.   1. Road to El Chalten

    El Chaltén is a municipality located in the Los Glaciares National Park, in the Argentine province of Santa Cruz. From here it is possible to access the trails that surround the peaks of Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy, to the northwest. Near Fitz Roy, a path leads to the viewpoint of the Los Tres Lagoon. Just northwest of the town, the shore of the Capri lagoon offers views of the mountains. We will arrive in our vehicles to the mountain village of El Chaltén after 3 hours of travel, having traveled 220 kms.

  • Once in El Chaltén, at approximately 08:30 hs., a short stop is made for those who wish to go to the bathroom before starting the march. A second trekking guide will accompany the group during the hike.
  • Those who hesitate to continue with the second section, much more demanding than the first, will continue the journey with one of the two guides as GROUP 2 to the beautiful Laguna Capri, another of the must-see attractions of El Chaltén. There you have lunch before continuing the descent to El Chaltén.
  • GROUP 1 continues the journey with one of the guides through the Poincenot Base Camp area, crosses the bridge over the White River, and from there begins to gain height quickly.   • At approximately 19:00 hs the minibus leaves for the city of El Calafate, where the service concludes leaving passengers in each hotel between 21 and 22 hours.
