Amazing class with Hector! I enjoyed learning the history of Peruvian cooking, and their specialty skills.
The best part of my monthly stay in Miraflores. Hector taught us special skills and tips which I can use daily with cooking. His fish dishes and open fire cooking were phenomenal! These memories will last forever! I wish I had more time to spend with Hector and Ricardo, two very special, compassionate men. I highly recommend their classes!

The cooking class to do in Lima!
We had a great experience at the Peruvian cooking class in Lima. We learned a lot and prepared several different dishes. The tiradito and ceviche were absolutely delicious — restaurant-quality, in our opinion. We're looking forward to making these dishes at home. Ricardo is a fantastic host and an excellent teacher. If you're looking for a cooking class in Lima, we highly recommend this company. You'll have a great time and learn a lot about Peruvian cuisine.

STOP, ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!
An Unforgettable Culinary Adventure with a Local Peruvian Chef. This was by far the most extraordinary travel experience I’ve ever had. Led by Ricardo, a top local chef, this immersive culinary journey offers an authentic taste of Peru’s rich food culture. From the moment you join Ricardo’s team at the bustling local mercados where everyday Peruvians shop for fresh, traditional ingredients you’ll feel like you’re part of the community. The adventure continues at his charming cooking studio, located right across from an ancient pre-Inca temple in the heart of Miraflores. Cooking with a view of these breathtaking ruins made the entire experience feel like a perfect blend of culture, history, and gastronomy (just picture holding your freshly prepared dish with the ruins in the background it’s magic!). Ricardo’s hands-on approach ensures you’ll learn authentic Peruvian cooking techniques from scratch. You’ll chop, sauté, and season under his expert guidance, all while gaining insight into the ingredients, their origins, and the cultural significance behind each dish. Whether you’re mastering the art of ceviche, crafting the perfect pisco sour, or exploring regional specialties, every moment is filled with vibrant flavors and new skills. At the end of the class, you’ll gather around the table like family, savoring the incredible dishes you’ve created. By the time you take your last bite, you’ll feel like a true local so satisfied and enriched by the experience that you might even consider cutting your trip short because, honestly, it doesn’t get more authentic than this. This is not just a cooking class it’s a deep dive into Peru’s culinary soul and an experience you’ll carry with you long after you leave.

Best Chef Hector
Outstanding Ceviche Cooking Class with Hector We had an absolutely fantastic time at Hector’s ceviche cooking class! Hector is such a warm and kind person – once you get to know him, his friendly and fun personality really shines through. He made us feel welcome and created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere right from the start. The four of us booked the class together and prepared several types of ceviche. From mastering the art of making tigermilk to working with the fish and all the fresh ingredients, everything was absolutely delicious. Hector was not only a great instructor but also an inspiration – we learned so much from him! To top it all off, we ended the evening by mixing (and enjoying!) Pisco Sours together. It was the perfect way to wrap up an already fantastic experience. Thank you, Hector, for such a wonderful time. We hope to see you again someday! Cheers, Jonas, Aylin, Melek, and Clemens

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ceviche Cooking Class Including Pisco Sour Lesson: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lima.
How much does Ceviche Cooking Class Including Pisco Sour Lesson cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lima usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ceviche Cooking Class Including Pisco Sour Lesson take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lima is not rushed.
Is Ceviche Cooking Class Including Pisco Sour Lesson worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lima, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ceviche Cooking Class Including Pisco Sour Lesson?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ceviche Cooking Class Including Pisco Sour Lesson suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Ceviche Cooking Class Including Pisco Sour Lesson?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lima can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lima and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ceviche Cooking Class Including Pisco Sour Lesson start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lima within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lima?
+
On Outty we rank every Lima experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Paracas & Huacachina Premium Experience from Lima, Day Tour From Lima: Paracas, Huacachina, Pisco Vineyard & Sunset, Premium Paracas & Huacachina Day Trip from Lima with Sunset Toast. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lima?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lima?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
