    Experience with Capital Travel

I have participated in trips with Capital Travel to the San José Volcano, Cerro El Plomo x2, and Cerros Pintor y Provincia. They have an excellent willingness to answer your questions and try to resolve all the issues that arise in activities of this type that are not without risks and contingencies. My experience with Capital Travel has been very good even in the most demanding departures, they seek to deliver the best possible service without jeopardizing the safety of their customers, even if sometimes those decisions are not so popular. I highly recommend them.

Very nice experience I went with them to 2 painters and a lead, it was one of the biggest challenges I have done both physically and mentally, the guides as always very friendly, company highly recommended, if everything goes well I hope to go for more in the following season.

Lead is impressive... and the team made all the difference

Climbing Cerro El Plomo was one of the most shocking experiences I have ever experienced in the mountains, and much of that I owe to the team that accompanied us. From the first contact they were professional, clear and very responsible with planning. Mountain that's everything. You can see the experience, the respect for the hill and the care for each member of the group. During the ascent they were always attentive, setting the right pace, watching over hydration, feeding and, above all, how we felt. I felt safe at all times, even in the most demanding stretches. Lead is imposing. Puts you in your place. And having a team that understands that, that doesn’t romanticize the mountain but doesn’t take away magic, makes all the difference. Reaching the summit was exciting, and I would choose them again without hesitation. Thank you for joining us in something so meaningful 🤍

Make sure that the soul lives longer than the body✨🌟

The experience I had with Capital Travel was amazing, the three days were a unique experience, you live very beautiful moments. The positive energy of the group and the guides is essential to feel comfortable and at ease with the adventure; I felt accompanied, safe and calm. Guides give you everything you need, inform you, guide you and support you at all times. I would like to highlight the guide Matías Arcos, who accompanied me every step until I reached the summit, without his support it would not have been the same... It was fundamental, at no time gave up on me hahaha. I would not hesitate to recommend them, tremendous guides Matias, Ignacio, Jorge and Benjamin, a team behind committed to the end with their work... Thank you so much for making this experience lighter and more beautiful.

Cerro El Plomo Trekking Adventure with Expert Guides 3 days: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.

How much does Cerro El Plomo Trekking Adventure with Expert Guides 3 days cost?

    +

Prices start at $1,700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santiago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cerro El Plomo Trekking Adventure with Expert Guides 3 days take?

    +

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santiago is not rushed.

Is Cerro El Plomo Trekking Adventure with Expert Guides 3 days worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 58 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cerro El Plomo Trekking Adventure with Expert Guides 3 days?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Cerro El Plomo Trekking Adventure with Expert Guides 3 days suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cerro El Plomo Trekking Adventure with Expert Guides 3 days?

    +

Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cerro El Plomo Trekking Adventure with Expert Guides 3 days start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santiago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santiago?

    +

On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Region: 4 Wineries, Tastings & Foodie Tour, Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Tour to Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Pablo Neruda Museum and Vineyard. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santiago?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santiago?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

    +

Included: Private transportation; Lunch; Dinner; Breakfast; and Tents, Trekking poles, Dome, satellite internet, helmets and mats. Not included: Gratuities. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Where is the meeting point for Cerro El Plomo Trekking Adventure with Expert Guides 3 days?
