    Disappointment

Our guide was knowledgeable and even helped us find the perfect place for a birthday dinner. We were very disappointed as the tour info said we would have a chance to make or paint pottery and this was not offered during the tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Elisabeth, Thank you for your feedback. After reviewing the listing again, I realized that you were correct: the pottery wheel experience or painting activity is included in this tour. I sincerely apologize for my mistake. I offer several versions of this experience, and I mistakenly did not include the activity in this tour, as I was not fully aware of the correct inclusions for this specific version at the time. I truly regret the confusion this caused. It is a pity that this was not mentioned during the tour, as we could have easily arranged it on the spot. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

    Educational tour made fun

Majolika ceramic factory in Modra exceeded our expectations. Our guide Martina with her natural flare made the tour fun and presented interesting facts in a lite and easy way. The whole tour was interesting from start to finish. We got to see people at work creating the pieces of art right on the spot as well as we could give it a go dipping a piece of pottery in a glaze. When in Modra, this tour is a must.

Response from the operator: Dear Katka, thank you so much for your positive feedback and kind words. I hope to see you once again on, perhaps on the tour of Sväty Jur.

We had a great time and learned a lot on our tour of the ceramic factory in Modra. Our tour guide, Martina, greeted us as though we were old friends, and made the tour so much better with her warmth and kindness. Modra and Us.

We had a wonderful time in Modra, specially at the Ceramic factory. Martina was our guide. She explained everything beautifully. Mr. Petrash gave us a live demonstration of how the pottery is made. My friend and my daughter did it themselves, too. It was amazing. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was completely worth it.

Response from the operator: Dear Mrs Sonalee, thank you for visiting Modra and taking part in the Ceramic Tour. It was my delight to show you the factory and all around. Thank you for your positive feedback. I love to hear that you visit to Modra was worthwhile.

    Spectacular Ceramics

This was an interesting and educational tour. One sees artisans sculpting, painting, and baking the handmade pieces. Martina was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic… a 10 star tour guide. She even took me to a small local shop to buy a postcard for my collection. However, be advised that ‘transportation provided’ means within Modra. A taxi or train/tram is needed to get to Modra from Bratislava.

Response from the operator: Dear Susan, thank you for superb review. I am glad you enjoyed the tour in our ceramic factory and that your experience was favorable. Wish you all the best with your future trips.

Ceramic Tour in Modra: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bratislava.

How much does Ceramic Tour in Modra cost?

    +

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bratislava usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ceramic Tour in Modra take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bratislava is not rushed.

Is Ceramic Tour in Modra worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bratislava, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ceramic Tour in Modra?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ceramic Tour in Modra suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ceramic Tour in Modra?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bratislava can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bratislava and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ceramic Tour in Modra start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bratislava within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bratislava?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bratislava experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided City and Castle Tour from Bratislava, Bratislava Post-Communism Tour, Private Bratislava City & Castle Tour with Sebastian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bratislava?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bratislava?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Ceramic Tour in Modra?

    +

Included: Tour of Slovak Folk Majolika. Not included: Private transportation; Lunch; Alcoholic beverages; and Carbonated beverages. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

    +
