Pass by without stopping
Along its route, which culminates in the Pyramid of the Moon, you can see different small pyramidal structures that some researchers misidentify as housing complexes occupied by ancient priests. It is important to point out that these structures are superimposed on other older pyramids and where it can be seen that in very remote times the city was devastated by some fires.

Its construction began in the Tzacualli stage (1-150 AD), when Teotihuacán began to develop as the main city of Mesoamerica. It is 63.4 m high. At the top there was a temple and a statue of an idol of great proportions; now there is only a square platform with a somewhat irregular surface. Its nucleus is made of adobe and in the past, it was all covered with paintings on stucco. Due to its location, it closes the Calzada de los Muertos in one of the axes.2 Pyramid of the Sun (aerial view) In 1971, further excavations and surveys uncovered a grotto below the pyramid. In this grotto there are four doors, arranged like the petals of a flower, through which you can access as many other rooms. The grotto is reached through a 7 m long well at the foot of the pyramid's steps.

+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
