A delightful historical tour

Alan and Salvador did a great job explaining the history and culture of the people and areas. The Coyoacán portion of the tour was very interesting. We didn't get to do the Frida Kahlo tour (since we didn't buy tickets in advance), however went to the Leon Trotsky museum instead and it was also interesting. The time at the university was extremely informative and eye opening. It would have been nice to spend a little more time at the university, maybe at the Olympic stadium. Then the long drive to Xochimilco, and boat (trajineras) ride in the canal, which was fun (bring pesos for food, drink, mariachi).

Response from the operator: Dear Rob, Thank you for your kind words. We are delighted to know that Alan and Salvador provided such a professional and outstanding service. We will gladly share your recognition with them. your suggestions will help us improve our service. Best Regards from the Quality Department of Trekzy

I was somewhat sceptical...

I was somewhat sceptical after reading some reviews, but overall I thought it was quite good, despite the large number in the group (hence the low fees). The lunch spot was well chosen, although I didn’t opt for the Buffett - it looks pretty good. If I could suggest one thing - it would be having the accurate plan published online (it was inconsistent with what the guides said/eventually happened on the day).

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your perspective. We appreciate your balanced feedback and are glad the overall experience met your expectations. Your observations are very valuable to us, and we will take them into account to improve communication. Best Regards from the quality team of Trekzy

Iconic Mexico City experience

Victor and Gerson were amazing tour guides! Gerson did an amazing job speaking English and Spanish since we had a mixed group. He was funny, personable, and so knowledgeable about the sites we went to. My husband and I went with our other couple friend and we had a blast! We did the Xochimilco with the Frida House tour but it was so much more. Gerson took us to a famous jewelry store before Xochimilco, and then we did stop at the famous university after. 10/10 recommend booking, such a fun time and iconic CDMX experience

Response from the operator: Dear nikolem245, Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again on another great adventure in CDMX! Best Regards from Trekzy

Great tour guide, and tour with a bigger group.

I like the tour guide Gerson who is energetic and humorous. The trip to Frida museum is very interesting. Only thing is I wish they can indicate how many people are going. This is a bigger group with 40+ people. I would love to join small groups instead. Overall I still appreciate the tour and the service.

Response from the operator: Dear ShanghaiVan, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the visit and had a lively and enjoyable experience. Best Regards from Trekzy

CDMX Enjoy a unique tour of Xochimilco and Coyoacán: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does CDMX Enjoy a unique tour of Xochimilco and Coyoacán cost?

+

Prices start at $54 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does CDMX Enjoy a unique tour of Xochimilco and Coyoacán take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is CDMX Enjoy a unique tour of Xochimilco and Coyoacán worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule CDMX Enjoy a unique tour of Xochimilco and Coyoacán?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is CDMX Enjoy a unique tour of Xochimilco and Coyoacán suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book CDMX Enjoy a unique tour of Xochimilco and Coyoacán?

+

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does CDMX Enjoy a unique tour of Xochimilco and Coyoacán start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
