Beautiful Caves
Upon arrival, we met with our agents and took us to the van that took us to the caves right on time. It was our first time with this tour company and we will be using their services from now on. Highly recommended.
Response from the operator: Hello Carlos. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are glad you had a good time on your tour with us. We hope to see you again soon.

Off the beaten trail
We were very concerned about meeting the group by 9 AM as our ship was not to disembark until 8:30 AM with tenders added to the wait time. Days leading up to the tour, the staff was very patient and used great communication. As it turned out, we got off the ship earlier than expected and the rest is history! The caves were interesting, and although humid even in December, there wasn't a mosquito problem that was stated with repellent offered beforehand. We weren't told about a drink/food offer at our own cost, so hardly anyone ordered anything. I can say that a daiquiri for $17 was a bit excessive. Afterward, we were dropped off at Pedro St James Castle for an hour of interesting history and home tour. Transportation was nicely appointed with leather seating although a little tight for two average adults. If you aren't a beachy person while in port, this tour is recommended.
Response from the operator: Thank you Debra, for your kinds words and for leaving a review on our tour. We are glad we were able to make your time on Island enjoyable and memorable. We hope to take you on another tour on your next trip to the Island.

Disappointing for the price of the Excursion.
The tour first drove us over from the cruise ship port over to the Crystal Caves. The tour began by going to the tree house where it was suggested we could order lunch at the restaurant and it would be ready for us to eat after completing the tour of the caves. When we came back from the tour the burgers were ready, but the fries were cold. After taking a couple of bites we were told we were out of time and to eat our lunch on the bus. Later discovered that we got charged over $500 for the lunch. Totally ridiculous! The rum tasting at Pedro St. James was also too rushed. We got little samples of 3 rums after the tour and then immediately back on the bus.

Our guide Yves was excellent! Knowledgeable and entertaining. Our guide Marlena at the castle was very knowledgeable and friendly, answering all our questions.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're delighted to hear that Yves provided a knowledgeable and entertaining tour. We're also pleased that Marlena was able to answer all your questions with friendliness and expertise at the castle. We look forward to welcoming you back for more great experiences in the future!

Great adventure
Our tour guide, Oscar, was very informative and funny! Also had a great interaction with Nancy at Cay tours. She contacted me prior to the tour to see if transportation was needed and was in contact until the tour ended.

Cayman Crystal Caves & Pedro St James OR Botanic Gardens: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Grand Cayman.
How much does Cayman Crystal Caves & Pedro St James OR Botanic Gardens cost?
+
Prices start at $245 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Grand Cayman usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cayman Crystal Caves & Pedro St James OR Botanic Gardens take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Grand Cayman is not rushed.
Is Cayman Crystal Caves & Pedro St James OR Botanic Gardens worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Grand Cayman, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cayman Crystal Caves & Pedro St James OR Botanic Gardens?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Cayman Crystal Caves & Pedro St James OR Botanic Gardens suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cayman Crystal Caves & Pedro St James OR Botanic Gardens?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Grand Cayman can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Grand Cayman and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cayman Crystal Caves & Pedro St James OR Botanic Gardens start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Grand Cayman within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Grand Cayman?
+
On Outty we rank every Grand Cayman experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group E-Bike Grand Cayman Ecological Half-Day Tour, Stingray City Experience Plus Two Snorkeling Stops on Grand Cayman, Stingray City Experience Plus One Snorkeling Stop. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Grand Cayman?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Grand Cayman?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
