Rip Off
The first stop you get "dropped off" for 45 to 60 minutes. Its early, so galleries are not open. Hope you wanted food because nothing else to do. Next stop cool fort! That is something to grab a taxi and see, its a very good fort. 'Wine Tasting'...no. Seemed a weird set up in the guy's garage. No orchard tour, just literally a garage. The wines seemed old, but the one he opened there was ok. Great cheese which his neighbor made (I'd have bought that), we enjoyed this standing around the garage. This tour is very expensive and really left me with a creepy vibe. You can get a cool boat to the little town from Dubrovnik. You can taxi to the fort. You can wine taste in town at an actual table. Save your money.
Response from the operator: Hello Diasy, I am so sorry that you haven`t enjoyed the tour. As Cavtat was several times proclaimed the most beautiful small town in Croatia, there is so many things to do and see......if you wanted to see all the galeeries in just 45 minutes, it was a bit to optimistic from your side....visit to Cavtat is imagined as a nice walk next to the sea, to have a coffe and just to feel the vibe of Mediterranean small town. I am glad that you have enjoyed the visit to "cool" fort......Sokol fortress is masterpiece of Medieval defense architecture. Miljas vinery is one of the oldest family vineries in area.....our idea for this tour is to take you to the old fashioned, traditional vine producer , not the big industrial modern place......And regarding the quality of the Miljas vines, well.....one of the most award-winning vineries of the Konavle region. I have to mention too that previous reviews talk about quality of our tour and satisfaction of our clients..... Regards Josip Soletic

Get off the beaten path
Getting off the beaten path and seeing parts of the country we hadn't seen. The views from the tops of the mountains, seeing the true residential areas of the country, touring a small winery where the owner had tremendous passion for what he did, seeing remnants of the war with Serbia, wondering around in an ancient fortress high on the side of the mountain.

Great tour off the beaten path!
I thoroughly enjoyed my 1/2 day tour with Josip! It was fabulous to take a break from action in the city and enjoy a slower pace while visiting the countryside. Our first stop was in the beautiful coastal town of Cavtat, where we explored the picturesque streets and enjoyed coffee by the sea. After that, we visited the impressive Sokol fortress, perched high on a cliff. It afforded us a spectacular view of the Konavle Valley. Next, we walked along the lush green shores Lutja River. Finally, we stopped at a winery where we were treated to generous samples of local wine. A perfect ending to a great day! Throughout the tour, Josip demonstrated his thorough knowledge of our destinations, and he also kindly shared personal stories. It was a real treat to spend the time with such a knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging local.

Real Dubrovnik beyond Old Town
Well planned and thoughtful private tour. The driver was super friendly and very knowledgeable. Must do to really get a glimpse of life outside Dubrovnik!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words, we are always doing our best!

Beautiful Cavtat
We wanted to see the vicinity of Dubrovnik and Josip recommended Cavtat and the Konavle district. We started with Cavtat, stunning walk around the peninsula and we had enough time for a coffee on the harbour, we could have stayed for hours! We then headed up the moutains to a beautiful fort, which my daughter very much enjoyed (beautiful views from the top) and finished the tour in a winery where the lovely owner offered us a tasting. Baldo, our guide, was knowledgeable, relaxed and made sure we were comfortable. We really enjoyed our private tour and would highly recommend it.
Response from the operator: If you want something else but wondering the streets of the Old Town, this tour perfect! Thank you for your kind words!

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cavtat & Konavle District Half Day Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubrovnik.
How much does Cavtat & Konavle District Half Day Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $330 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubrovnik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cavtat & Konavle District Half Day Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubrovnik is not rushed.
Is Cavtat & Konavle District Half Day Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubrovnik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cavtat & Konavle District Half Day Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cavtat & Konavle District Half Day Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cavtat & Konavle District Half Day Private Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubrovnik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubrovnik and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cavtat & Konavle District Half Day Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubrovnik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dubrovnik?
+
On Outty we rank every Dubrovnik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour, Panorama Zipline Experience in Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik: 7 Caves & Blue Cave Speedboat Tour (4h). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dubrovnik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dubrovnik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
