You'll be taken to shops
As soon as I got in the car, the driver said there was a free trial today. I said, "Thank you, but no thanks. Please go straight to the cave church." After I finished visiting the cave church, the driver said we were going to visit a free experience now. I said no, please go directly to the next church! Then the driver asked me what church? I said it was like the second stop on my trip - the Hanging Church. He replied that he didn't know my itinerary included the Hanging Church. So I asked him to call his company to clarify. He then made several calls. While he was on the phone, I sent a message to the operator. I asked the operator why the driver didn't know my itinerary included the Hanging Church, and the operator replied that the driver just only reconfirmed the next stop to me and 'all good'. It's obvious that both the driver and the operator are playing dumb. The driver just told me that he didn't know where to go to the Hanging Church, so why was he asking me to confirm the location again? At this point, the driver finally finished his phone call and said to me, "Okay, we're going to the Hanging Church now." Before arriving at the church, we went to a small market specifically for tourists, which also offered a free sandpaper making experience. I said I didn't need it. Please go directly to the Hanging Church. I've already refused three times. He still insisted that I go to the small market. He said, "Why don't you go if you only stay 10 minutes?" I said, "Okay, if you want me to go so badly, I'll only stay for 10 minutes at most." Of course, once we got there, he didn't just ask me to stop at one store for 10 minutes. He then tried to get me to go to other stores. I flatly refused. I took several local tours during my two weeks in Egypt. This one was definitely the worst. None of the other tours required me to go to shops or pretended not to know my itinerary. Please avoid this operator; I would never recommend them.
Response from the operator: thank you for the feedback , but make sure you wrote to correct company , thats not our service , you never used or contact us for round transfer , you might write that to wrong listing , everyone used our service and know who we are , read reviews , thats why you booked us , we dont know if you are spam or you took money form other to write that for us , if we are bad , you never use our service but you came through our review which are real one not fake . please check , thank you , we wish you good time in Egypt . Nice experience
Shadi is my driver. He’s very friendly and easy to talk to, shared to me some popular songs in Egypt, and some background of the attractions/ district I went. He took a few nice pictures for me in the cave church as well (since I’m a solo traveler). Thank you for making my day 1 in Egypt well accompanied:) Something to improve: - Manager contacting me sounds a bit rude and pushy - Shopping spots were arranged without asking

Very good
John was a great driver. We didn't buy an extra tour guide, but he chatted with us enthusiastically, introduced the sights along the way, and even took us to Khan el-Khalili market. He also reminded us to watch out for pickpockets and to bargain. We were very grateful; he made our trip today very safe and comfortable.

Quality tour guide and professional operation
We had a private tour with Doaa and our driver Ashraf. Logistically, they were organised, on-time and adapted to Cairo’s volatile traffic conditions. Doas’s knowledge, friendliness and passion for history came through and she created excitement and energy for the whole family. I rate this as highly recommended.

Visited Coptic Cairo
Sandy was lovely and gave a shortened trip as requested to meet my needs. We did not do the fully booked trip but that was my decision.

Cave church Garbage City and Coptic Cairo Hanging Church: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Cave church Garbage City and Coptic Cairo Hanging Church cost?
+
Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cave church Garbage City and Coptic Cairo Hanging Church take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Cave church Garbage City and Coptic Cairo Hanging Church worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cave church Garbage City and Coptic Cairo Hanging Church?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cave church Garbage City and Coptic Cairo Hanging Church suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Cave church Garbage City and Coptic Cairo Hanging Church?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cave church Garbage City and Coptic Cairo Hanging Church start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
