    awful snorkelling and pickup times

I picked I picked this tour out of a hat because I wanted to go snorkeling in mauritius. I don't recommend this trip or this tour operator for several reasons Firstly they picked me up at 7:15 AM the boat didn't actually leave till after 10 it was really unnecessary to deprive me of sleep and my hotel breakfast for all of that silliness. On top of that the snorkeling was totally unremarkable and terrible not worth going on the trip. The snorkel area has no coral very small fish and not much to see it's not very interesting at all and one of the worst places I've actually snorkeled in The crew members were very nice the lunch was good but I didn't find it a good value for the money there are other tours in the area that will also do pick up for a cheaper price. The thing that bothered me the most is that this area is really filled up by all these catamarans blasting loud music it's not peaceful or calm and the scenery is not all that inspiring I would not recommend this tour at all given the value for the money and the snorkeling not being worthwhile.

    Early pick up from hotel.

The pick up time from your hotel is not told to you when you make the booking and request hotel pickup. Our driver was very friendly but called and said he was waiting 90 minutes before the boat trip. Which is fine because it was over 60 minutes drive to the boat but the operator never told us in email. We were still asleep and got ready in 15 minutes.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Trou d'Eau Douce?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Trou d'Eau Douce?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
