About this experience
The Ocean Diva is a fast, stylish, and modern catamaran. With its low draft, it can enter into very shallow reefs. You will sail in front of El Gouna, and anchor nearby for swimming and first-class snorkeling among shoals of colorful fish. The skipper and crew will look after your every need, from supplying food and drinks, to setting you up with snorkeling gear, and offering a helping hand when you need to climb back on board. An extremely comfortable boat, even during rough sea conditions, you can laze in the sun and enjoy the fantastic views as you sail. There are also plenty of seats in the shade, as well as nets for sunbathing directly over the Red Sea. And since the Ocean Diva cuts through the water using only its sails it makes very little noise to not disturb your nap! We are sailing with two stops at our secret reefs, where you can swim, snorkel or just relax. Dolphins are regular sighting on all of our cruises and add an extra dimension to the Ocean Diva experience.

Fun Catamaran with breathtaking views and exceptional pina coladas
It was a phenomenal experience! The sailing was amazing, coral reefs breathtaking and we saw dolphins up close! Such a joyful and playful animals. The bartender did absolutely tasty pina coladas! Also, the Catamaran, including the toilets were extremely clean and there was no issues with hygiene. 100% recommend! I went with my husband and few friends and we had lots of fun!
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, We are delighted that you are so happy and enthusiastic with your trip and our services. This encourages us to continue giving our best for our guests. Best regards, Akram Abdou.

Never again
I'd like to point out that the offer is highly deceptive and dishonest. Firstly, this isn't a sailing trip, as 90% of the sailing time involves the yacht running on diesel power and unfurled sails. It was supposed to be sailing at sea, but instead we're getting a trip with shaking and smoking combustion engines, which eliminates all the fun. But to avoid customers complaining, the sails will be unfurled for 15 minutes of the 5-hour sailing trip. What a disaster! Secondly, you can't board the yacht in flip-flops, and barefoot is required! It's a disaster. I don't want to get foot sick or go barefoot to a public restroom, which, as you know, is what it's like when there are dozens of guests. So, I'm sure the ladies, especially, will be very happy to show up barefoot in a mixed men's and women's restroom... This is absolutely unacceptable. It's like the Middle Ages. Thirdly, the catering is a travesty. The few fruits that are available are pathetic, and the yacht crew actually ate them, haha. Yes, that's what really happened. A lunch like that was a bit of a letdown, but that's not the most important thing. In short, zero hygiene, traveling on a yacht that's powered by the engine, not sailing, and that completely ruins any enjoyment. A complete mistake, and now I'm worried about whether I'll end up with foot fungus. Never again!
Response from the operator: Dear guest, We are sorry that you were not satisfied with your trip. We are working hard to resolve all the issues you mentioned.

Sunset cruise
Absolutely lovely went around 12yrs ago can't remember the exact year but the boat had just arrived from Australia? so had to book again when we came back to Egypt, the not so bad bits first! I think there was to many people on boat seemed cramped I know you have to make money but if possibly 4 less would make it better and food a bit tight (measly). But the whole adventure was great dolphins, snorkeling fantastic
Response from the operator: Dear Sir, We are very pleased that you enjoyed your Catamaran trip. We strive to continue this approach and raise our service to the highest level. Best regards, Akram Abdou.

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Catamaran Sailing Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.
How much does Catamaran Sailing Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $28 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Catamaran Sailing Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.
Is Catamaran Sailing Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Catamaran Sailing Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Catamaran Sailing Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Catamaran Sailing Tour?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Catamaran Sailing Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hurghada?
+
On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada: Luxor Valley of the Kings & Tutankhamun Tomb Trip, Orange Bay Island, Luxury Cruise to Orange Bay and Hula Hula island Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hurghada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
