Great experience, ventus...
Great experience, ventus catamaran and cesar were great. There was a hiccup about getting charged for a lost flippers so make sure to check out hidden fees and stuff. Overall good time. TBH tho isla mujeres is just a small island and too many tourists so don’t feel like you HAVE to come to isla mujeres but I Fs recommend Cancun saling

I am so satisfied for taking this tour.
Unforgettable, so pleased with a great team on: Catamaran "Passion One". The whole experience was beautiful, and Isla Mujeres exceptional locals.

Never got on their boat
I booked this experience through Viator. I would like to first say that was my mistake. Visitor itself is cool. The representative that helped me book was super nice and helpful up until it was time to secure my spot. I was told to call the catamaran company to select my time. I was never able to reach them so I called Viator back and they were also unsuccessful so they told me just to go to the meeting point. I get there and wouldn’t you know it, the company is completely overbooked. So after giving me the run around from 9:40am to 1030am I was sent with my group to another kiosk that did boat tours. Luckily the lady there was able to get with someone and get me on a boat. They kept trying to schedule me even though they were very aware that it was going to rain for the remainder of my trip. Over all the boat tour I did take (which was not this one) was fun and worth the money (they were giving out straight shots on my boat) the crowd was about 30-35 people but we were able to spread out pretty solidly.

Great full day experience.
We were a little confused, because when we came they said that they couldn't find our reservation and sent us to a different marina, but then we called the number that was provided on the reservation, they confirmed that we came to the right place. After that everything was great, they were offering to upgrade or tour, but after reading some reviews on Viator we decided not to. We had around 50-60 people on board, a lot of drinks and party. Great music and stuff. Instead of spending 2 hours for a lunch we spent an hour, and had 3 hours to spend on the beach. I would suggest to go on the other side of the Island. They have a big sign where you can take a photo and on the right side of it a little beach, where you can take great pictures too. Don't forget your sunscreen and would suggest 50+ we had 30 and got sunburn. Snorkeling part wasn't too fun, they do not allow to take the life jackets off to dive, and because tge group is big it's hard to enjoy it. This is why I am giving 4 out of 5. I would suggest to purchase a separate snorkeling tour, we did and had only 5 people in out group, where we were allowed to take the life jackets off.

Good day trip
The trip was fun. The snorkelling part of it was way too short. I think we were in the water for 20 minutes. Maybe. Also we upgraded to the vip package with less people as a smaller boat and I thought they said we would be snorkelling at a spot that there wasn’t a ton of other people but we were at the spot that a ton of other people were at. So that was a bit disappointing.

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Catamaran Adventure in Cancun: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Catamaran Adventure in Cancun cost?
+
Prices start at $18 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Catamaran Adventure in Cancun take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Catamaran Adventure in Cancun worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Catamaran Adventure in Cancun?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Catamaran Adventure in Cancun suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Catamaran Adventure in Cancun?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Catamaran Adventure in Cancun start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
